Electrically-heated hose assembly including a hose and a first and a second fitting. The hose is constructed as having a core tube, a pair of spiral wound wires surrounding the core, and a jacket surrounding the core tube. A first end of each of the fittings is within a corresponding end of the hose, with a second end of the fittings extending beyond the hose end. The wires are wound around at least a portion of the second fitting end of a corresponding one of the fittings.

Method of making an electrically-heated hose assembly

Fitting connections for corrugated metal tubing. The connection includes a body having an externally-threaded end, a nut or other fastener which is threadably engageable with the body end, and a collet which is receivable coaxially within the fastener. The collet is formed as a series of individual, arcuate tangs which are joined together by a retaining collar, the collar allowing the segments to be resiliently opened within the fastener so as to allow the crests of the tubing to pass therethrough. The fitting may be pre-assembled with the collet segments being received coaxially within the fastener with the collar extending rearwardly from the fastener, and with the fastener then being partially threaded onto the fitting body.

Pre-assemblable, push-in fitting connection for corrugated tubing

A permanently attachable hose coupling for a pressurized conduit end having a generally tubular nipple and a generally cylindrical shell permanently attached to the nipple and generally surrounding the conduit end. The nipple has a longitudinal axis, first and second ends, a series of circumferential grooves located between the first and the second ends, a longitudinal through bore, and an insert portion adjacent the plurality of grooves for insertion in the conduit. Each of the series of circumferential grooves fixedly receive at least one of an inside surface, an end surface and an outside surface of the generally cylindrical shell and each of the grooves has a generally flat base portion parallel to the longitudinal axis, a first substantially vertically oriented sidewall adjacent the generally flat base portion and a second substantially vertically oriented sidewall.

A portable, hand held, apparatus for crimping a hose fitting to the end of a hose, including a unitary frame having four sides surrounding an open middle section, wherein one of the sides is a base with a receiving opening extending therethrough for housing crimping componentry and another of the sides is a top portion for attaching a cylinder, piston, and a pusher. The outer surface of each of the remaining two sides has mounting holes for attaching a power unit. The unitary frame includes a handle for manual lifting purposes, and has multiple support surfaces enabling the crimping apparatus to be variably positioned during the crimping process. The unitary frame also includes blind mounting holes on three sides for attaching various mounting brackets, thus enabling the apparatus to be oriented in any desired angular position during the noted crimping process.
