In order to improve an intermediate plate for mounting between housing parts of a fluid-operated control unit, in particular a transmission unit, comprising a central unit of plate-shaped configuration and, on both sides of the central unit, a sealing system for sealing between the central unit and the housing part opposite thereto in each case, said sealing system comprising sealing elements arranged on the respective side of the central unit and extending around cutouts, in such a way that said intermediate plate allows complex fluid routing, it is proposed that the central unit comprise a fluid routing plate extending in a plate plane and having at least one fluid routing channel extending in the plate plane and comprise cover plates arranged on both sides of the fluid routing plate and having cutouts as accesses to the at least one fluid routing channel, that an intermediate sealing system sealing the at least one fluid routing channel be provided between the respective cover plate and the fluid routing plate and that the respective cover plate carry the respective sealing system for sealing between the central unit and the respective housing part.

Intermediate plate and control unit

In order, in the case of an intermediate plate for mounting between housing parts of a fluid-operated control unit, in particular a gear unit, including a central unit that is constructed in the shape of a plate and, on either side of the central unit, a respective sealing system for sealing between the central unit and the housing part opposed thereto, this sealing system including sealing elements which are arranged on the respective side of the central unit and provide sealing around passages, to achieve the best possible seal between the central unit and the respective housing part, it is proposed that the respective sealing system should include as the sealing element at least one layer of an elastomer material that is resilient and is appliable adhesively to stick to the respective housing part.

Intermediate plate

In order to produce a gasket that is adapted to be arranged between two components requiring sealing of which at least one contains a first metallic material which is less noble than aluminium and the gasket comprises at least one gasket layer including a plate consisting of a second metallic material which is nobler than the first metallic material, such that contact corrosion on the components requiring sealing is reduced or completely prevented, it is proposed that the gasket layer should comprise a sealing element which is arranged at an outer boundary region of the plate, should consist of an elastomer material and, in the installed state of the gasket, should gasket the gap between the gasket layer and the component which contains the first metallic material in a substantially fluid-tight manner.

Gasket

In order to provide a high temperature resistant adhesive based on water glass which is particularly suited for sticking metal substrates and which remains gas-tight and does not lose its electrical insulating properties even at high operational temperatures, it is proposed that the adhesive should comprise an additive in the form of boron nitride.

High temperature stable adhesive

Flat gasket, in particular, cylinder head gasket with a gasket plate which has at least one aperture and at least one sheet-metal layer which is provided with a bead surrounding the aperture, as well as with a stopper device preventing any excessive bead deformation; so that the sheet-metal layer does not tear even during dynamic pressure loads on the bead in the bead area which accompany a considerable flattening of the bead, the recess formed by the bead is filled over at least a considerable part of its depth with an elastomeric material which has appreciable flow properties under pressure even at ambient temperature (21&deg; C.), i.e. is plastically deformable to a not inconsiderable extent.

Flat gasket

A flat sealing plate for combustion engines and a method for manufacturing same are disclosed. The sealing plate comprises a layer of soft sealing material consisting of mineral base compounds as well as of a binder material being at least partially vulcanized. A first and a second metallic foil are glued on both sides of the soft sealing material layer. For the manufacture of such sealing plate calender rolls are used to calender the sealing material on the first foil and additional rollers are then used to laminate the second foil on the opposite side of the sealing material layer.
