A crankcase gas separator includes a separator housing delimiting at least part of a separation space and forming at least part of a liquid phase receiving circumferential inner wall surface, a wall member forming at least part of a gas passage, and a gas pressure regulating valve including at least part of the gas passage. The separator includes a separate tube member extending from a position radially inside the inner wall surface into the gas passage. A liquid tight seal between the separate tube member and the wall member is formed by a joint arranged radially outside the inner wall surface.

Crankcase gas separator

An apparatus for the cleaning of crankcase gas from an internal combustion engine includes a housing and a separation chamber for the crankcase gas with a centrifugal rotor arranged for the cleaning of the crankcase gas in the separation chamber. The centrifugal rotor includes a drive shaft extending into a drive chamber of the apparatus. A turbine is connected to the drive shaft. A nozzle is arranged to receive pressurized liquid from the combustion engine and to direct the pressurized liquid in a jet from a nozzle opening against the turbine for rotation of the centrifugal rotor. An adapter element is configured such that the apparatus is mountable onto the combustion engine with a drive liquid passage in communication with the nozzle. The nozzle is integrally formed with the adapter element with a nozzle passage having a conical shape which converges in the flow direction towards the nozzle opening.

Apparatus for the cleaning of crankcase gas

A device for cleaning a gas which is contaminated with particles, includes a centrifugal separator with a centrifugal rotor for separating the particles from the gas and a drive arrangement for rotating the centrifugal rotor about a rotational axis. The drive arrangement includes an impulse turbine drivingly connected to the centrifugal rotor and a nozzle for a pressurized fluid, the impulse turbine being arranged with buckets for receiving a jet of pressurized fluid from a nozzle directed against the buckets which are configured such that the fluid jet direction is reversed along a height of the bucket. The height of the bucket is 2-3 times the diameter of the nozzle opening.
