The invention relates to a cutting device for an earth working machine, having improved wear protection.

Cutting device

A round-shank pick, comprising a pick head and a pick shank, the pick head including a base part and a cutting element, which is connected to the base part and is composed of a hard material, in particular hard metal, wherein the base part has a wear-resistant layer on the outer surface thereof at the connection to the cutting element, which wear-resistant layer covers at least one segment of the outer surface of the base part facing the cutting element and wherein an end face of the wear-resistant layer facing the cutting element is covered by the cutting element. The base part has an axially oriented cut-out for receiving a fastening segment of the cutting element, the base part has a counter surface facing the cutting element and extending around the cut-out, and the counter surface and the end face of the wear-resistant layer form a continuous flat surface.

Pick, in particular a round-shank pick

The invention relates to a bit holder for a road milling machine or the like, having a base part on which a bit shank and a projection are shaped, the projection comprising a bit receptacle, and the bit receptacle being constituted from a socket-shaped insert made of hard material. With a bit holder of this kind, good rotational behavior of the bit can be assisted and stable bracing thereof can be guaranteed, with little parts outlay, if provision is made that the bit receptacle is embodied as a stepped bore that comprises a first and a second diameter region, the first diameter region having a larger inside diameter than the second diameter region.

Tool holder

The invention relates to a tool system having a bit holder and a shank bit, the bit holder comprising a bit receptacle that comprises a first and a second diameter region that lead into one another via a transitional segment (taper), a bit shank of the shank bit comprising a first and a second cross-sectional region that lead into one another via a transitional segment. With a tool system of this kind, a wear-optimized design results from the fact that the transitional segments of the shank bit and of the bit holder are arranged spaced away from one another in the direction of the longitudinal center axis of the shank bit, in order to form a resetting space.

Tool system

The invention relates to a shank bit for a road milling machine or the like, having a bit head and a bit shank, the bit shank comprising a first cylindrical segment that is indirectly or directly adjacent to the bit head, and the bit shank comprising a second cylindrical segment that, facing away from the bit head, is indirectly or directly adjacent to the first cylindrical segment, and the diameter of the second cylindrical segment differing from the diameter of the first cylindrical segment. In a shank bit of this kind, improved utilization properties result from the fact that the first cylindrical segment has a diameter in the range between 18 mm and 30 mm, and an extent in the direction of the longitudinal center axis of the bit shank less than 30 mm.

Shank-type pick

A tool for a coal cutting, mining or road cutting machine, having a round-shaft cutter with a cutter head and a cutter shaft. A wear-protection disk is pushed on the cutter shaft, on an upper side of which the cutter head rests. The cutter shaft is captively held in a receiver of a holding projection of a cutter holder in a direction of a center longitudinal axis of the projection but freely rotatable around the center longitudinal axis. The projection has a support surface which extends at least in sections around the receiver on which a wear-protection disk rests with an opposite surface and is supported on a support surface of the cutter holder. The cutter head rests on the upper side of the wear-protection element facing away from the support surface. In order to better protect the cutter holder of such a tool against wear effects, the support surface extends transversely with respect to the center longitudinal axis of the receiver up to exterior dimensional limits of the area of the holding projection adjoining the support surface. The wear-protection disk covers the entire, radially outwardly located area of the support surface with its opposite face.
