In an example, an apparatus includes processing circuitry comprising a model assessment module to identify an indication of a conductive element within object model data representing an object to be printed and a print instruction module to generate print instructions to generate the object. The print instructions may include an instruction to print conductive agent to form the conductive element and an instruction to print a fusing agent comprising an instruction to reduce an amount of fusing agent to be printed in a region of the conductive element compared to at least one other region of the object.

Printing conductive elements

Methods and systems for making three-dimensional printed articles. In one example, a method of making a three-dimensional article can include printing a conductive element including a composite of a conductive material and a polymeric build material; printing an adjacent portion in contact with the conductive element, where the adjacent portion includes a nonconductive polymeric build material; and heating the conductive element by running an electric current through the conductive element, and thereby heating the adjacent portion to a temperature sufficient to change a physical property of the nonconductive polymeric build material of the adjacent portion.

Three-dimensional printing conductive elements

According to examples, a method of making a three-dimensional conductive printed part, including forming a layer of polymeric build material; selectively applying a fusing agent on a first selected area of the formed polymeric build material; selectively applying a conductive agent on a second selected area of the formed polymeric build material; and applying a solder receiving material to a portion of the first selected area and a portion of the second selected area; in which the solder receiving material is present on a surface of the conductive three-dimensional printed part is disclosed.

Three-dimensional printing

A method may include with a raster image processor, creating pretreatment plane rasterized image data from source image data and, with a plasma emitter, selectively applying a plasma treatment to a surface of a print media based on the pre-treatment plane rasterized image data. A printing device may include a raster image processor to execute an image analysis module to create pre-treatment plane rasterized image data from source image data and a plasma emitting device to selectively apply a plasma treatment to a surface of a print media based on the pre-treatment plane rasterized image data.

The present disclosure is drawn to printing systems. In one example, a printing system can include an electrode having a plurality of electrode protrusions associated therewith and a conductive plate. The electrode and conductive plate can be positioned with respect to one another to generate an electric field therebetween and to allow a media substrate to be positioned therebetween to be exposed to the electric field. Additionally, an inkjet print head can form a printed image on the media substrate after exposure to the electric field.

Printing systems

In an embodiment, an ink erasing system includes an erase fluid dispenser to apply erase fluid to a surface of a print medium. The system includes a plurality of nonadjacent pairs of electrodes positioned across a width of the print medium. The system also includes a controller to direct the erase fluid dispenser to apply the erase fluid in an erase region on the print medium, and to alternately electrify the nonadjacent pairs of electrodes to generate a moving electric field through the erase region.

Applying electric fields to erase regions of a print medium

The present invention is drawn toward a method of forming conductive paths on a substrate using ink-jet technology. An ink-jettable suspension or solution can be formed containing a conductive particulate having certain desired conductive properties. The suspension can then be ink-jetted onto a substrate such as ceramic, epoxy glass, or other materials in a given pattern using various ink-jet printing technologies and methods. Depending on the chosen conductive particulates, suspension components, and substrate, the printed pattern of conductive particulates may then be heated to further enhance the conductive properties of the particulates through bonding and/or sintering.

Methods for ink-jet printing circuitry

An energizing circuit and methods and systems for same are described. One exemplary energizing circuit incorporated into a fluid ejecting device includes a piezoelectric actuator configured to selectively eject fluid from the fluid ejecting device. The circuit also includes an avalanched device electrically coupled to the piezoelectric actuator and configured to be triggered at a predetermined voltage level, and wherein the triggering of the avalanche device causes the piezoelectric actuator to be activated sufficiently to cause fluid to be ejected from the fluid ejecting device.

Fluid ejecting methods and related circuits

A hand held inkjet pen includes a housing, an ink reservoir, an inkjet printhead and a spacer. The ink reservoir is located within the housing. The inkjet printhead is located toward a distal end of the housing, and includes a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink received from the reservoir. The spacer is located at the distal end of the housing for contacting a media sheet. Force applied to the spacer selects an on state for controlling ejection of ink from the plurality of nozzles.

A measurement and marking device includes a housing, a positional sensing assembly mounted in the housing, a printhead assembly mounted in the housing, and a controller mounted in the housing and communicating with the positional sensing assembly and the printhead assembly. The positional sensing assembly is adapted to sense a position of the housing relative to an object as the housing is moved along a surface of the object and the printhead assembly is adapted to print on the surface of the object as the housing is moved along the surface of the object. As such, the controller is adapted to operate the printhead assembly to print a mark on the surface of the object based on the position of the housing relative to the object as the housing is moved along the surface of the object.

Measurement and marking device

An energizing circuit and methods and systems for same are described. One exemplary energizing circuit includes an oscillator configured to receive power from a DC power source. The exemplary energizing circuit also includes an energy storage device electrically coupled to the oscillator and configured to receive oscillating current therefrom, the energy storage device configured to selectively activate an energizing element comprising a fluid ejecting device when a predetermined condition is met.

A label making inkjet printer applies print imaging directly to the adhesive side of a media provided in sheet-form and in reel-form. Because inkjet printing is a non-contact printing method, print imaging may be applied to the adhesive side of the media According to one embodiment, a user manually pulls tape-form media through the printer while encoding signals detect linear movement of the media and provide basis for synchronizing operation of an inkjet print head. According to another embodiment, a motorized media transport carries tape-form media on a pair of media transport belts past an inkjet print head. The resulting adhesive label when applied to a contact surface substantially disappears due to its transparent nature leaving visible only print imaging applied thereto and captured between the protective tape media and contact surface therebelow.

A capping system for a printhead includes a handheld printjet printing device having a printhead and a cap including a flexible wiper. The cap is structured to be manually placed on the printing device so that the wiper wipes the printhead during placement thereon.

A method of depositing adhesives or adhesion control agents using ink jet technology. The adhesive may be used in the manufacture of assembled paper products including greeting cards. The adhesion control agents may be deposited on a plastic sheet used in laminated safety glass.

Disclosed is a &ldquo;smart&rdquo; power circuit protection system in which the trip level of a circuit breaker is dynamically set based upon information communicated from the load over the power lines. The system is adaptable to configurations involving multiple loads protected by a single circuit breaker, and an adapter permits loads not incorporating a &ldquo;smart&rdquo; current reporting capability to be included in the circuit breaker load. The invention is intended to provide additional protection against line to neutral power faults.
