A bone cement delivery apparatus is provided which includes a body, a ram, a trigger mechanism, and a pawl assembly. The body is configured to support a bone cement dispensing container. The ram is carried by the body and is configured to advance relative to the body to urge bone cement from the dispensing container. The trigger mechanism is located on the body and is configured for actuation to advance the ram. The pawl assembly is carried by the trigger mechanism to engage the ram, the pawl assembly comprising a pawl is carried by the trigger mechanism infinitely adjustable in relation with the trigger mechanism between a relatively low force position and a relatively high force position.

Bone cement delivery apparatus and hand-held fluent material dispensing apparatus

A knife and a reversible blade are described. A handle provides a blade mount for an elongated blade having opposed longitudinally overlapping first and second cutting edges. Handle mounting surfaces are provided on the blade, interchangeably engageable with the blade mount to enable selective attachment of the blade to the handle with either first or second cutting edges thereof exposed in an operational position.

Reversible blade knife

A knife is described including a handle with a blade mount. An elongated blade with a handle mounting surface is releasably engageable with the blade mount on the handle to enable selective attachment and detachment of the blade to and from the handle. The blade mount includes a blade back configured to receive a length of the blade and a tang disposed within the handle. A blade release is formed integrally with the tang and includes an integral elongated bar spring extending longitudinally within the handle from an end joined integrally with the tang, to a laterally movable free end. A blade lock is located on the elongated bar spring adjacent the movable free end, laterally positionable by deflection of the elongated bar spring to selectively engage and lock the blade in an extended operative position, and a release position clear of the blade.

A lockable folding knife utilizes a simplified, easily manufactured combination pivot and locking pin mechanism to create a strong locking action between the hub of the knife blade which pivots about the pivot pin, and the locking pin which is connected to and moved by the pivot pin when it is displaced in an axial direction.

Folding knife

A wrench for surgical use including a housing having an extension at the end of which there is a socket member having a slot through the wheel thereof with the socket member aligned with the corresponding slot in the free end of the extension to permit a nut on an extremely threaded rod to pass into the socket. The socket is peripherally toothed for engagement by a pair of worm gears disposed at respective sides of the socket member so that there is always driving engagement between the worm gears and socket member for rotating the socket member. Crank operated gears are exposed in the housing and are connected by drive shafts of the worm gears. A slidable nut retainer is disposed at each side of the extension and each is provided with a notch for reception of the threaded rod; the parts of the slidable nut retainer at the side of the notches, overlap the nut to prevent it from coming out of the socket. The slidable nut retainer members each have a ridge on the underside adapted to be received in notches at the limits of movement of the slidable nut retaining members.
