A crankhandle assembly has a cylindrically-hollow handle member rotatably mounted on a shaft or core element. The shaft has complementary stepped contours at each end and the handle has bearing cups at each end positioned to form with said stepped contours a ball bearing race, a thrust bearing, and a handle race. The bearing cup elements are centered in the handle by axially and radially disposed fins.

Crankhandle structure

There is disclosed a desk having an adjustable top which is adjusted by means of telescoping legs. The legs are extended or contracted by means of a gearbox assembly mounted between two guided members of the telescoping legs which assembly in turn is affixed to the desk top by means of a channel member extending toward the front and parallel to the base members of the desk. The desk also has a channel provided for electrical wiring which may be opened and snapped closed, as desired.

Vertically-adjustable desk structure

A storage unit of the disclosure includes vertical posts on which beams that connect the posts are adjustably supported at selected heights. Each post has an elongated shape of a T-shaped cross section including an imperforate outer wall, imperforate side walls that extend inwardly from the outer wall in spaced relationship to each other, inner walls that extend from the side walls toward each other in spaced relationship to the outer wall, and flanges which extend inwardly from the inner walls and are connected to each other. Mounting openings are provided in each inner wall of the post along the length thereof for use in securing the beams to the post. Each beam has an elongated shape between the posts and opposite ends which include respective notches. At least one attachment tab is mounted within each beam notch for protection when the beam is not being used and for use in securing the beam to the post by projecting through one of the post mounting openings. Upper and lower ends of the post mounting openings are symmetrical about a horizontal centerline so that the post can be used with either of its ends up. A unitary attachment plate on the end of the beam includes a flat section and a bent section from which the attachment tab is struck. As disclosed, there are two sets of vertically spaced attachment tabs and each set includes a lower support tab and an upper anti-lift tab which are both received within the same mounting opening upon securement of the beam to the post. Inclined surfaces of the post mounting openings are engaged by the support tabs to force the beam end against the post, and wedging surfaces of the support tabs likewise force the beam end against the post.

Storage unit and post and beam of the unit

A shelf clip of a unitary metallic construction for securely positioning a shelf on a shelving unit and usable in a back-to-back relationship with a like clip in an interfitted relationship. Upper and lower ends on an attachment flange of a body of the clip include a support hook and a downwardly extending positioning tang located on one side of a lateral center between the attachment flange sides so as to permit the interfitted relationship of the clips in their back-to-back relationship. A support flange extends horizontally from the lower end of the attachment flange with the positioning tang struck therefrom and includes an end that projects upwardly in a slightly inclined orientation. Cooperation between a dimple formed in the attachment flange and the inclined support flange end securely positions the shelf with respect to the clip while cooperation of the support hook and the positioning tang positions the clip with respect to the shelving unit.
