A bone plate includes a plate body defining an outer surface, an opposed bone-facing surface, and a combination hole comprising a locking hole and a compression hole that intersect one another and each extending from the outer surface to the bone-facing surface. The locking hole and the compression hole extend away from each other along a longitudinal axis. The plate body further defines a locking surface that defines the locking hole, and a second surface that defines the compression hole. The locking surface further defines a plurality of columns sequentially located about a central axis of the locking hole, a plurality of recesses located, respectively, between at least some of the columns, and plate threads that traverse each of the columns. Crests of the plate threads extend linearly from a first side of each column to a second side of each column.

Deformable threaded locking structures, and related systems and methods

A bone plate includes a plate body defining an interior surface that defines a combination hole that includes intersecting locking and compression holes that each extend between outer and bone-facing surfaces of the plate body. A central axis of the compression hole is spaced from a central axis of the locking hole in an offset direction. A locking surface of the plate body defines the locking hole and at least one locking structure therein. A compression surface of the plate body defines the compression hole. An intersection boundary between the locking and compression surfaces is configured to translate the bone plate in the offset direction during contact between the intersection boundary and a head of a compression screw as it advances within the combination hole along an insertion axis offset from the central axis of the locking hole at an offset distance in a direction having a directional component in the offset direction.

Bone plates having multi-use combination holes for locking and dynamic compression, and related systems and methods

A bone plate has an outer surface, a bone-facing surface opposite the outer surface, and an interior surface that defines a hole extending from the outer surface to the bone-facing surface along a central hole axis. The interior surface further defines a ramp that extends from the outer surface toward the bone-facing surface and plate threads that extend from the ramp toward the bone-facing surface and are configured for optional locking engagement with external threads on a first head of a locking bone fixation member. The interior surface further defines a contact profile in a reference plane that extends along the central hole axis. The contact profile is defined at least by the ramp and is spaced from the central hole axis in an offset direction perpendicular to the central hole axis. The contact profile is configured to translate the bone plate in the offset direction responsive to contact with an exterior surface of a second head of a compression bone fixation member as the second head advances within the hole along an insertion axis that is offset from the central hole axis in the offset direction.

Bone plates having multi-use screw holes for locking and compression screws, and related systems and methods

A bone fixation system includes a bone plate having an outer surface, an opposed bone-facing surface, and an interior surface that defines a hole extending from the outer surface to the bone-facing surface along a central hole axis. The interior surface further defines a compression surface. The system includes a bone fixation member having a shaft extending from a head along a central fixation member axis. The head has an exterior surface that defines a threaded head portion configured for variable angle locking with a complimentary variable angle plate locking structure. The compression surface and the threaded head portion are cooperatively configured to translate the bone plate in a direction substantially perpendicular to the central hole axis when the threaded head portion contacts the compression surface when the bone fixation member axis is offset from the central hole axis at an offset parameter as the head advances within the hole.

A device for correcting a placement of a guide wire in a bone includes a body extending from a proximal end to a distal end; a central channel extending through the body from the proximal end to the distal end along a central axis, the central channel sized and shaped to receive a guide wire slidably therein; and a first correction channel extending through the body from the proximal end to the distal end. The first correction channel is sized and shaped to receive a guide wire therein at an angle relative to the central axis of the central axis of the central channel.

The device also includes an inner sleeve received within the outer sleeve and defining an inner conduit within the outer conduit to form a protective covering. The inner sleeve is split longitudinally. Portions of the inner sleeve on opposite sides of the split are coupled to one another so that a diameter of the inner conduit is adjustable in response to forces exerted thereon by one of BTD and tissues surrounding the outer sleeve.

A tool useful for deploying a flip anchor connected to a cable includes a housing with a first end and a second end; and a guiding tube having a bore therethrough. The guiding tube has a proximal end releasably connected to the first end of said housing, and a distal end configured to hold said flip anchor. The housing includes a mechanism having a low resistance surface and a slider having a high friction surface facing the low resistance surface, where the slider is movable between a) a clamping position configured to clamp the cable between the low resistance surface and the high friction surface; and b) a release position configured to allow the cable to move freely on the low resistance surface. A safety button on said housing is movable between an elevated position where the safety button holds the slider in said first position, and a depressed position where the safety button releases the slider, allowing it to enter the second position. The slider is configured to move the cable distally upon movement from the clamping position to the release position, deploying the flip anchor from the guiding tube.

A variable angle bone screw includes a first portion and a second portion that is separate from the first portion and configured to be attached to the first portion. The first portion defines at least a portion up to an entirety of the threaded head of the variable angle bone screw.
