Disclosed is a server including a transceiver, and a controller configured to receive, via the transceiver from a terminal, a first message including first information for requesting to share multimedia content stored in the server with at least one specified user and second information related to expiration of time for sharing the multimedia content, and based on the received first message, establish a condition for sharing the multimedia content, and transmit, via the transceiver to the at least one specified user, a second message notifying that the at least one specified user is allowed to access the multimedia content.

Multimedia message service method and system

Disclosed is a server including a transceiver, and a controller configured to receive, via the transceiver from a terminal, multimedia contents, store the multimedia contents, receive, via the transceiver from the terminal, a request for establishing one of a plurality of access modes with respect to the multimedia contents, wherein the plurality of access modes includes a restricted mode where at least one user designated by the terminal is allowed to access the multimedia contents, and a public mode where all users are allowed to access the multimedia contents, establish an access mode for the multimedia contents based on the request, and transmit, if the request includes information on the at least one user, via the transceiver to the at least one user, a notification that the at least one user is allowed to access the multimedia contents, based on the information on the at least one user.

Disclosed is a method of sharing multimedia contents, by a server, including storing the multimedia contents, receiving an establishment request configured to establish one of a plurality of access modes for the multimedia contents from a first terminal, establishing an access mode according to the establishment request for the multimedia contents, receiving an access request for the multimedia contents stored in the server from at least one second terminal, determining whether the at least one second terminal is allowed to access the multimedia message based on the access mode, and transmitting the multimedia contents, wherein the access mode includes at least one of a private mode for access by only the first terminal, a restricted mode for access by the at least one second terminal, and a public mode for access by all terminals.

The present invention provides a method in which when receiving an invitation request to a new PoC session, a PoC client participating in multiple sessions for which a maximum limit is set determines whether it is now participating in the maximum number of sessions, the PoC client notifies a user that the maximum number of sessions are used if the maximum limit is reached, and releases one of an existing session or the last requested session according to user selection.

System and method for PoC session substitution

As described above, when a particular PoC client participating in a PoC session requests media transmission to a PoC server during transmission of media from another PoC client, the PoC server transitions the PoC client with the floor to a suspended state by sending an MB Suspend message and grants the floor to the requesting PoC client. After media transmission of the interrupting PoC client, the PoC server returns the floor to the interrupted PoC client. Therefore, the privileged PoC client in a current PoC infrastructure interrupts the ongoing conversation and sends media, after which the floor is returned to the interrupted PoC client without issuing an explicit media request from the interrupted PoC client. Even in the pre-emptive case scenario where the pre-emptive PoC client interrupts the ongoing conversation, the conversation can be continued in a natural way.

Disclosed is a multimedia message service method and system for sharing and searching for multimedia messages stored in an MM box. The MMS client has the possibility to associate an access mode ('public', 'restricted', or &#x201c;private&#x201d;) to any multimedia message stored in or uploaded to an MM box. When a multimedia message is permitted to be shared, the MMS clients who have been granted access to the multimedia message can be notified of the shared multimedia message. When the MMS client requests to view or retrieve a multimedia message, the MMS relay/server checks if the MMS client has been granted permission to access to the multimedia message. If the MMS client has been granted permission to access to the multimedia message, the MMS relay/server allows the MMS client to access the multimedia message.

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for managing multimedia messages. If receiving a request to set a retrieval reminder for a specific multimedia message from an MS, an MMS relay/server sets a reminder time for the specific multimedia message to a reminder time included in the request to set the retrieval reminder. If a current time corresponds to the reminder time, the MMS relay/server notifies the MS of retrieving the specific multimedia message. If receiving a request to extend an expiry time of the specific multimedia message from the MS, the MMS relay/server sets the expiry time of the specific multimedia message to an expiry time included in the request to extend the expiry time.
