A bearing assembly is configured to rotatably support a first machine part in a second machine part and includes first and second rolling-element bearings. The rolling-element bearings are installed in the bearing assembly with an axial preload or an axial clearance. The second machine part includes a first conical abutment surface, and the first rolling-element bearing includes a bearing ring having a second conical abutment surface facing the first conical abutment surface of the second machine part. An intermediate ring is disposed between and abuts the first and second conical abutment surfaces. The bearing ring and the second machine part are metal, and the intermediate ring is formed from a material that has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than that of the bearing ring and second machine part.

Bearing assembly

A bearing assembly includes a hub element or a housing element, the hub element or the housing element having at least one opening, at least one intermediate element mounted in the at least one opening, the at least one intermediate element including at least one wave-shaped or lug-shaped projection in contact with the hub element or the housing element, and a first bearing element press-fit in the at least one intermediate element and a second bearing element mounted in the at least one opening, the second bearing element being movable relative to the first bearing element.

A bearing assembly includes a hub element or housing element which has an accommodating bore for at least one rolling-element bearing, the rolling-element bearing being disposed with its outer ring in a press-fit arrangement in the accommodating bore, and the outer ring having at least one first axial region along at least one raceway of the outer ring and at least one second axial region extending outside the raceway. To ensure a proper fit of the bearing ring in the hub or housing element over a wide range of operating temperatures, the receiving bore and the outer circumference of the outer ring are configured such that at the ambient temperature the radial clamping force between accommodating bore and outer ring in the first region is smaller than in the second region.

A sealing device is provided for sealing a space between a hub and a spindle pivotally connected by a bearing, the hub being coaxially mounted on the spindle and extending in an axial direction and the bearing having an inner ring. The sealing device includes a radial shaft seal including a shell portion having an outer static sealing surface disposeable against the hub and a hinge portion having a radial sealing lip. A sleeve member includes an inner static sealing surface disposeable against the spindle, a running surface contactable by the sealing lip and a sleeve portion. The sleeve portion extends in the axial direction beyond a side surface of the bearing inner ring and is disposeable about a shoulder diameter of the bearing inner ring.

A bearing assembly includes a first bearing comprising a first inner ring and a second bearing comprising a second inner ring. A sleeve-shaped spacer is disposed between and axially separates the first and second inner rings. An adhesive connects the spacer to the first and second inner rings.
