A set of at least two boards for gliding over snow has dimensions, structures and/or upper faces of different geometries. Each board for gliding over snow is equipped with a platform for raising the binding elements. The platform is identical for all the boards for gliding over snow of the set. Each board for gliding over snow includes a special joint interposed between the platfonn and the upper face of the board for gliding over snow.

Alpine ski comprising a front area known as the tip area ( ), a rear area known as the tail area ( ), and an intermediate area known as the mid-section ( ) designed to receive a stop ( ) and a heelpiece ( ) comprising the binding of the boot of a skier. In this ski, the rigidity, namely the resistance to flexing in the lengthwise direction of the ski, of the center part of the mid-section ( ) is less than the rigidity in the two end parts of the mid-section ( ), namely the parts that connect with the front ( ) and rear ( ) areas.

Alpine ski

Alpine ski has a boot middle point mark indicating a position of a middle of a boot and is equipped with a mounting platform comprising front, central and rear zones. The platform rests on the ski via three feet situated respectively in front, central and rear zones of the platform. The height measured between the lower face of each foot and the upper face of the platform is a minimum for the central foot. The platform is anchored by screws to inhibit sliding in at least the front and central zones. An anchoring point situated in the central zone is positioned in front of the boot middle point and is separated longitudinally by a distance of between 150 and 300 millimeters. Further included is a block of elastic material inserted between a front end of the platform and a stop in front of the platform. The block is compressible during movement of the platform relative to the upper face of the ski, due to bending of the ski.

A board having a lower assembly composed of a sole optionally bordered by metal edges, a central core, and an upper cover forming a shell, composed of an upper wall extended laterally by side walls whose lower corners bear on two longitudinal reinforcement elements which themselves bear on the lower assembly. This board is equipped with at least one vibration damper element which is made of viscoelastic material and is located on one side of the board and emerges visibly on this side, and lies in the region contained between a lower corner of the upper cover and the lower assembly.
