A method of transmitting information between a salt-cavern and the surface of the ground, the cavern being drilled in geological formation beds and being connected to the surface via an access borehole cased at least in part by metal tubes and presenting at least one safety valve, the method consisting in suspending a string of tools from a hanger system positioned in the access borehole downstream from the safety valve and in electrical contact with the metal tubes, the string of tools including at least one measuring device connected to the hanger system via a first segment of conductor cable and an information transceiver operating by means of waves and connected to the measuring device via a second segment of conductor cable, the transceiver being positioned in such a manner as to be in contact with structural means linked to the cavern; and establishing coupling between the transceiver and the structural means, in order to enable information to be transmitted between the measuring device and the surface by propagating waves via the structural means.

Method and apparatus for transmitting information between a salt-cavern and the surface of the ground

An operating well of a fluid storage reserve, includes an outer wall delimiting, with a central operating tubing of the well, an annular space in which is placed a protective sheath of an electrical link cable between a surface installation and elements arranged in the well. A device for the measurement of physical parameters includes at least one compact, removable, sealed measuring subassembly arranged in a housing in communication with the interior of the central tubing and at least one compact, sealed connecting subassembly integral with the central tubing of the well and arranged at least partially in the annular space in the vicinity of the protective sheath to be connected to the electrical link cable. The sealed measuring subassembly and the sealed connecting subassembly have plane contact surfaces, each associated with a half-transformer so as to form an inductive coupling between the measuring subassembly and the connecting subassembly.

Method and device for the measuring physical parameters in a production shaft of a deposit of underground fluid storage reservoir

This is a system of fibre optic sensors comprising at least one such fibre for measuring a physical or chemical parameter sensitive to the change in an environment (E) within which the sensor is placed, the said fibre comprising a cladding (3), a core (5) surrounded by this cladding, an axis (7) with a length in the direction of this axis, and, locally along its parts (9) with variations in optical thickness forming an optical diffraction grating (10), at least one part of the cladding (3) comprising in its composition an active material whose optical properties vary as a function of the change in the said parameter (P) within the environment where the sensor is placed. The active material may be a heteropolysiloxane.
