A process for the production of a core () with integrated bridging fibers () for the manufacturing of composite panels, includes producing the following stages: using a cake that is made of light material of the rigid foam type, forming the core (); depositing excess bridging fibers () on at least one surface () of the core; making a portion of these bridging fibers () penetrate into the core; and removing excess bridging fibers () that are not used. The panel that is obtained as well as the associated device are also described.

The object of the invention is a process for production of a reinforcement () for composite material comprising at least two layers () intended to be embedded in a polymer matrix, characterized in that at least one () of the layers is comprised of continuous filaments () in one main direction F and in that these filaments are positioned with variable spacing along this main direction F.
