The invention relates to a machine for cutting tiles and comprising: a stand provided with a bottom for supporting a tile; a cutting member; and a tile-breaking bar secured to the stand, projecting relative to the bottom thereof, and enabling a tile to be broken after it has been cut. According to the invention, the stand has a first notch suitable for receiving a first corner of a tile to be cut, and a slide which is mounted to slide along the tile-breaking bar and which includes a second notch suitable for receiving a second corner of said tile. An application lies in providing a machine enabling a cutting axis to be adapted accurately, simply, and cheaply relative to tiles having two opposite corners.

This invention relates to a complex sound-insulating material comprising a first lower sub-assembly, itself comprising at least one layer of a bituminous product, and a second upper layer which covers said first sub-assembly. The first sub-assembly comprises a first upper layer, a first intermediate layer and a first lower layer, whilst a) each of the first upper and lower layers is made of oxidized bitumen reinforced with first fibers and has a surface mass of between 500 and 1000 g/m.sup.2 ; b) the first intermediate layer is made of an organic binding agent, such as a bitumen, and by second fibers which are embedded in said binding agent and are in a non-woven form; and c) the second upper layer is made of an elastic foam. One application of the invention is the production of a sound-insulated tiled flooring.

This invention relates to a profiled strip adapted to be used when laying tilings or other like surface coverings, wherein this profiled strip comprises: a bearing sole plate which is defined by a lower face, an upper face and an edge; a bead which, opposite the edge, is upstanding from the upper face of the bearing sole plate and its outer shape is that of a quadrant; and a counter-joint which is upstanding from the upper face of the bearing sole plate and constitutes the inner limit of the bead and of the bearing sole plate. One application of the invention is the production of profiled trims having a good resistance in time.

This invention relates to a material for use in the production of a flooring in a building construction. According to the invention, this material comprises an upper layer, an intermediate layer and a lower layer, while: a) each of the upper and lower layers is made of oxidized bitumen reinforced with first fibers and has a surface mass of between 500 and 1000 g/m.sup.2 ; and b) the intermediate layer is made of an organic binding agent, such as a bitumen, and by second fibers, which are embedded in said binding agent and are in non-woven form.
