In one example, a height adjustable desktop system is described that can include a work surface, a foot assembly and a linkage assembly that adjustably connects the work surface to the foot assembly allowing vertical adjustment of the work surface. The linkage assembly can include a pair of adjustment assemblies, each having a transverse linkage that maintains the work surface in a horizontal orientation as the work surface is elevated or lowered. A biasing mechanism, such as an extension spring or a torsion spring, biases the work surface toward the elevated position.

Height adjustable desktop work surface

In one example, a cabinet is described for storing at least one electronic device. The cabinet includes a frame, a power supply system for charging the at least one device, and a shelving assembly. The shelving assembly can include a stationary member engaged to the frame, and a pivoting member engaged to the stationary member. The pivoting member can be adapted to hold the at least one device.

Embodiments include a balance mechanism having a first cam and a second cam configured to convert a variable force exerted by the energy storage member into a substantially constant force applied to a mounting portion. The balance mechanism may be useful for balancing forces such that a user can set the height of an electronic display and/or other equipment attached to the balance mechanism at a number of heights within the range of travel allowed by the mechanism. Cam balance mechanism systems and methods

An apparatus for supporting a load is disclosed. A support arm in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of present invention comprises a first strut, a second strut, a proximal link, and a distal link. A proximal portion of the first strut is pivotally coupled to the proximal link at a first proximal joint. Additionally, a proximal portion of the second strut is pivotally coupled to the proximal link at a second proximal joint. A distal end of the second strut is pivotally coupled to the distal link at a second distal joint. A distal end of the first strut is pivotally coupled to the distal link at a first distal joint. The support arm also includes a cam mechanism comprising a cam and a cam follower.
