A non-destructive process of inspecting an object can include positioning a first and second ultrasonic element relative to the body of the object and offsetting the first and second ultrasonic elements in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the body. A further process of inspecting an object can include creating a map of the body of the object including at least one anomaly and providing a quality value associated with the body based on evaluation of one or more criteria selected from the group consisting of the type, number, size, shape, position, orientation, edge sharpness, and any combination thereof of the at least one anomaly. An ultrasonic system can include a first and second ultrasonic element and a processing element. The process element can be configured to create a map of the body including at least one anomaly and provide a quality value associated with the body based on evaluation of one or more criteria selected from the group consisting of the type, number, size, shape, position, orientation, edge sharpness, and any combination thereof of the at least one anomaly.

Process and system for inspecting object

Refractory product having improved flow

A sintered refractory product having the form of a block and consisting of a granulate formed by all the grains having a size larger than 100 &#x3bc;m, referred to as 'coarse grains', and a matrix binding the coarse grains and consisting of the grains having a size smaller than or equal to 100 &#x3bc;m, the granulate representing between 45% and 90% by mass of the product, the product having a composition such that, in a mass percentage based on the oxides: AlO&#x3e;80%, SiO&#x3c;15%, NaO&#x3c;0.15%, FeO&#x3c;0.05%, CaO&#x3c;0.1%, the other oxides forming the remainder up to 100%, and the NaO content in the matrix being greater than 0.010%, in a mass percentage based on the mass of the product.

Product having a high alumina content

A powder is disclosed having a coarse fraction representing more than 60% and less than 85% of the powder, as a weight percentage on the basis of the oxides, and that is constituted of particles having a size greater than or equal to 50 &#x3bc;m, referred to as 'coarse particles', the powder comprising at least 5% of coated grains having a size greater than or equal to 50 &#x3bc;m, as a weight percentage on the basis of the oxides of the powder, and a fine fraction, forming the balance to 100% as a weight percentage on the basis of the oxides, constituted of particles having a size of less than 50 &#x3bc;m, referred to as 'matrix particles'. The powder can be applied in combustion chambers in which the temperature may reach 1400&#xb0; C.

Refractory powder comprising coated mullite grains

A powder including: (a) more than 92% of zircon particles; (b) 1% to 2% of silica particles having a size less than 50 microns; (c) 0.3% to 5% of particles comprising one, two, or three oxides selected from CaO, MgO, and YO; (d) less than 1% of particles comprising other oxides; the powder also being such that it includes: more than 5% of zircon aggregate particles having a size greater than 1 mm; and 8% to 20% of zircon matrix particles having a size less than 15 &#x3bc;m and including, for more than 95% of the weight thereof, a monoclinic phase.

Zirconia powder

A refractory self-flow filler mortar, includes in mass % with relation to the basic refractory material, at least 1% and at most 10% of non-granulated spherical particles with median size greater than 0.1 &#x3bc;m and less than or equal to 2 mm and further includes in mass % with relation to the total dry mass of the mortar, less than 4.5% of silica (SiO) and between 1% and 8% water, the standard deviation of the non-granulated spherical particle size being less than 100%.

Self-flow refractory mixture

The invention concerns a sintered refractory product having the following average chemical composition, in weight percentages based on oxides: 20%&#x3c;AlO&#x3c;90%; 6%=SiO&#x3c;30%; 3%&#x3c;ZrO&#x3c;50%; 0%=CrO&#x3c;50%. The inventive product is characterized in that it comprises 17 to 85 wt. % of mullite-zirconium grains.
