Systems, apparatuses, and methods for computing transport block size (TBS) for channels with shortened transmission time interval (sTTI). An initial size may be determined based on one or more TBS tables. The initial size may be scaled by a factor associated with an sTTI channel. A TBS table is selected based on the one or more TBS tables. The scaled size may be rounded based on the selected TBS table to generate a TBS for the sTTI channel.

Transport block size for channels with shortened transmission time interval

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to performing a tune-away from a first radio access technology (RAT) to a second RAT. These techniques include, for example, a method in which one or more radio resources of a user equipment are tuned away from the first RAT (e.g., LTE technology) to the second RAT (e.g., legacy 2G/3G technology and/or Wi-Fi or Bluetooth technology). Based on detecting a need to tune away one or more radio resources, the UE may then determine a tune-away metric for each serving cell based on one or more performance impact factors associated with the serving cell being tuned away. The UE may select one or more of the cells to be tuned away based on the determined tune-away metrics. The UE may then tune one or more radio resources corresponding to the selected at least one cell away from the first RAT to the second RAT.

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus configured to establish a wireless connection to a first network, tune away from the first network for a first predetermined interval, tune back to the first network after the first predetermined interval, enter a power control freeze state for a second predetermined interval after tuning back to the first network, send a plurality of transmissions to the first network during the second predetermined interval, determine if a number of the plurality of transmissions that are not received by the first network exceeds a first threshold or if a number of the plurality of transmissions that are retransmitted to the first network exceeds a second threshold, and exit the power control freeze state when it is determined that the first threshold is exceeded or when it is determined that the second threshold is exceeded.

Methods, devices, and computer program products for antenna searching with antenna selection are disclosed. In one aspect, an apparatus operable in a wireless communication system includes a first receiver, a second receiver, and a processor. The first receiver receives a first signal including pilot signals from a first antenna. The second receiver receives a second signal including pilot signals from a second antenna. The processor, while a receive diversity is enabled, demodulates the first and second signals, determines whether a first condition is satisfied, and, in response to determining that the first condition is satisfied, searches for pilot signals via the second receiver and not the first receiver. The first condition is satisfied when a signal strength of the first signal does not exceed a first threshold and a signal strength of the second signal exceeds a second threshold.
