One embodiment of the present invention is a unique gas turbine system having a system for modulating secondary air flow. Another embodiment is a compressor vane stage with a plenum employed in providing secondary air flow. Other embodiments include apparatuses, systems, devices, hardware, methods, and combinations for secondary air flow systems. Further embodiments, forms, features, aspects, benefits, and advantages of the present application shall become apparent from the description and figures provided herewith.

A fastener is disclosed including a threaded male fastener and a shear bushing for coupling thin walled structures together. The shear bushing having an internal through opening and a shear ring constructed to project across an interface of adjacent walls is operable for absorbing shear loads transmitted into the fastener from a fastened structure. The male fastener includes a threaded portion extending through the shear ring for engaging a threaded female receiver.

The present invention provides a variable pressure ratio gas turbine. In an embodiment, the engine is configured to selectively bypass all or a portion of a high pressure compressor and a high pressure turbine. In an embodiment, during bypass operation, all or a portion of the flow that would otherwise pass through the high pressure compressor and the high pressure turbine may be routed through a respective compressor bypass duct and turbine bypass duct.

A door lever assembly has capability for changing the handing of the lever during installation. It includes a housing having a face with a bore for receiving a lever shaft and an input cam rotatably mounted in the housing. The input cam has a shaft for transmitting rotary motion to a latch spindle and a lever arm for rotatably driving the input cam and the shaft. A slider plate surrounds the shaft and the lever arm of the input cam and has a branched slot for permitting the slider to move relative to the shaft while driving the lever arm. A cover plate protects and retains all parts within the housing. Provision for removably mounting a cam on the lever shaft to be driven thereby against the slider plate, moving the slider plate to drive the lever arm of the input cam and to thereby rotate the shaft of the input cam to drive the latch spindle. A tailpiece, adjustable to indexed lengths, drivably connects the input cam and the latch spindle. A torque limiting and damage prevention feature is also included.

A modular door handle assembly has a door handle on a rotatable handle shaft mounted on a housing having a face with a bore for receiving the handle shaft. Dual-function studs retain a cover on the housing and have provision for mounting the door handle assembly to a door. Other provisions, within the housing, provide for operating a door latch in response to rotation of the door handle together with a mechanism for returning the handle to a parked position upon release of the handle from rotating force and a locking feature for releasably locking the door handle assembly to prevent operation of the door latch. The handle return and locking features are both driven by a pair of dual acting springs. The modular design simplifies repair and replacement of the assembly.

A door holder assembly, for attachment between a door jamb and a door, to hold the door in an open position includes a jamb bracket attached to the door jamb and a jamb arm pivotally attached to the jamb bracket. A channel assembly having a longitudinally extending channel is attached to the door, and a hold open stop is fixed in the channel of the channel assembly. The hold open stop is configured to have a stop element with a first ramp and a second ramp engageable by a slide assembly. The slide assembly is pivotally attached to the jamb arm and positioned for longitudinal movement in the channel, with the slide assembly having a slide frame configured to support a rocker pivotably connected to the slide frame. The rocker has a catch on one side of a pivot and rocker face on the opposite side of the pivot, with the catch configured to slide over the first ramp for reversible engagement with the second ramp of the stop element to hold the door in an open position. The force required to slide the catch over the first and second ramps is determined by the preload force on an adjustment wedge that engages the rocker face.

An overhead door holder assembly, for attachment between a door jamb and a door, to hold the door in an open position includes a jamb bracket attached to the door jamb and a jamb arm pivotally attached to the jamb bracket. A channel assembly having a longitudinally extending channel is attached to the door, and one of a group of modular slide assemblies that interchangeably fit into the channel assembly can be selected for pivotal attachment to the jamb arm. The slide assemblies have attached polymeric blocks that reduce wear caused by sliding components and may have door hold and door stop provisions as well.
