A garment drying cabinet and a garment dryer utilizing the garment drying cabinet. The garment drying cabinet includes a housing through which at least one heater mounting opening and at least one exhaust hole are disposed. At least one heater mount is attached to the housing proximate to each mounting opening and is dimensioned to attach a heater to the housing such that the air directed from the heater is delivered into the interior of the housing. A cabinet door is movably attached to the housing. The garment dryer combines the drying cabinet with at least one heater.

A refrigerant recovery system and method for recovering refrigerant from a separate refrigeration system are disclosed which first employs a liquid recovery phase and then a subsequent vapor recovery phase. A liquid sensor monitors the incoming recovered refrigerant and produces a signal indicative of when all of the liquid refrigerant has been recovered from the separate refrigeration system. The timer relay continues the liquid refrigerant recovery phase of operation for an additional predetermined time period once the signal is sensed. Thereafter, the recovery system switches to the vapor recovery phase of operation for yet an additional time period. The system then switches between these two phases until a predetermined condition occurs. An alternative refrigeration system is ambient temperature sensitive for controlling the recovery modes of operation. A thermistor is electronically connected to the timer relay which in turn produces a delayed signal that is indicative of the sensed ambient temperature. Based upon the sensed temperature, the timer relay sequences the system between the two different modes of recovery and adjusts the time periods for operating each mode.

Refrigerant recovery system

Two preferred embodiments of an improved refrigerant recovery system and method for recovering refrigerant from a separate system are disclosed whereby the first embodiment utilizes a closed-loop refrigeration system employing a portable storage tank to recover refrigerant from a separate system that needs to be serviced. The first embodiment recovers refrigerant from the separate system by placing a storage tank within an evaporator that is cooled by evaporator coils and evacuated by a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump is valved off and recovered refrigerant is directed to the storage tank from the separate system. None of the recovered refrigerant contacts the compressor of the recovery system and vacuum pump. An alternative to the first embodiment provides a booster pump in-line with the storage tank and the separate system for transferring any residual refrigerants into the storage tank. The second preferred embodiment includes a portable storage tank located within an insulation device and a number of other conventional components including a compressor, condenser, valves and an expansion device. This system employs two phases whereby during phase 1 primarily liquid refrigerant is directed to the storage tank which enhances the life of the compressor because contaminated liquid refrigerants are not subjected to the compressor. Once all of the liquid has been recovered from the separate system and a predetermined pressure is reached in the storage tank, phase 2 is activated whereby primarily recovered gas is directed through the compressor and eventually dumped into the cooled storage tank. Because of this unique arrangement, refrigerants can be recovered from separate systems at much faster rates then conventional refrigerant recovery systems. An alternative to this second embodiment provides a unique fluid sensor which improves the efficiency of the recovery system by automatically activating phase 2 when all of the liquid refrigerant has been recovered from the separate system and when the storage tank is at a predetermined pressure.

A suspension system for a refrigeration condensing unit which utilizes a simple unique elastomeric spacer instead of conventional multiple-piece spring arrangements.

Mounting system

There is disclosed herein an improved supporting base for refrigeration condensing units which is non-corrosive and includes integral provisions for securing different size refrigeration compressors and associated condensers, as well as an optional receiver. The supporting base also includes a condensate receiving reservoir and means for holding the compressor discharge line beneath the level of condensate therein. The mounting provisions are designed to position the condenser and compressor above the maximum condensate level so as to reduce the likelihood of resulting corrosion thereof and to effectively prevent condensate leakage therefrom.
