A computer-implemented method for network management is disclosed and includes broadcasting, from a first sensored wireless transceiver, an availability to accept data from other sensored wireless transceivers; receiving, from one or more other sensored wireless transceivers, requests to subscribe to provide sensor data to the first sensored wireless transceiver; subsequently receiving data that indicates sensor values from the one or more other sensored wireless transceivers; aggregating the data that indicates sensor values; and transmitting the aggregated data to a central service through the Internet.

Distributed context-sharing networks

A method and apparatus for performing a caller investigation in order to provide relation information to a called party () regarding an unknown calling party (), when implemented in a service entity () serving said called party. A relation query for the calling party is received from the called party, and it is then determined whether the calling party is known and related to any third party directly or indirectly known to the called party by checking a contact list (-) defined for said third party. The reliability of the calling party can then be better assessed based on how the calling party is related to the called party, if related at all. The called party may use this information for deciding how to respond to a communication request from said calling party.

Method and arrangement for handling communication requests from unknown parties

A method and apparatus for obtaining context information from a context server maintaining a context for an object of interest in a telecommunication network. The context server receives raw context data from sensors associated with the object of interest. A request is received from a requesting party for refined context information with reference to the object of interest. Individual context data is collected for at least one individual entity of the requesting party. A customized rule is created on the basis of the received individual context data. The rule defines conditions in an adapted request for refined context information regarding the object of interest, which is sent, including the customized rule, to the context server of the object of interest. Context data refined according to the customized rule is then received from the context server.
