An apparatus for controlling and/or regulating process parameters of an installation such as a building automation installation has at least a first decision table and preferably a second decision table. The decision tables have rules with which a priority is associated. By evaluating the rules of the first decision table, on the basis of the state of a sub-system of the installation, a further state value is ascertained and fed to an input of the second decision table. The state of a further sub-system of the installation is altered by evaluation of rules of the second decision table. The decision tables can be represented for an installation operator in a picture screen window.

Apparatus for and method of controlling and/or regulating process

A phase detector includes a pulse amplitude modulator and an integrator. The pulse amplitude modulator comprises a change-over switch the control input of which is fed by pulses which are subjected to mark/space modulation by means of a phase-shifted signal while the amplitude input of the pulse amplitude modulator is fed by a non-phase-shifted signal. The integrator includes an integrating amplifier, the output of which is connected by means of a capacitor to an inverting input of the integrating amplifier while the non-inverting input of the integrating amplifier is connected to ground by way of a further capacitor. The inverting and non-inverting inputs of the integrating amplifier are connected by way of respective resistors to two inputs of the integrator which in turn are connected to ground by way of respective resistors on the one hand and which on the other hand are connected by way of respective switch contacts of the change-over switch to the amplitude input of the pulse amplitude modulator. The phase detector requires only a single amplifier and may be used in phase-lock loops of static electricity meters which operate using the mark/space amplitude modulation method and which serve for the measurement of reactive energy, and which therefore require a 90.degree. phase shift provided by the phase-lock loop.

Phase detector for mark/space modulated signals

In an arrangement for measuring an electrical power or energy, for each of a plurality of phases, the arrangement includes a voltage input in a transformer supplied with current and connected to an integrator with a high ohm input. Each transformer is connected via an integrator with a high ohm input to a mark-space-amplitude modulator, one of which is provided per phase. Each voltage input is also in communication with the corresponding mark-space-amplitude modulator. Each mark-space-amplitude modulator comprises a mark-space modulator and a pulse amplitude modulator. Each pulse amplitude modulator is provided with two push-pull outputs, each of which is connected to an input of a current/frequency converter for the integration of marks (pulses) and spaces (i.e. spaces between pulses) present at the output of the pulse amplitude modulator. The current/frequency converter is connected to processing and display circuitry for displaying an output.
