A cap attachable to an optical connector including a ferrule and a housing that slidably houses the ferrule, includes: a body part configured to attach to the optical connector and configured to cover a connecting end face of the ferrule projecting from the housing and a side surface of the ferrule projecting from the housing; a housing contact part configured to contact the housing inside the body part; and a ferrule contact part configured to contact the side surface of the ferrule in a state where the housing contact part is in contact with the housing.

An optical fiber alignment tool includes a fiber aligner that includes: separators that assort optical fibers; and fiber insertion portions each disposed between a respective pair of the separators and that align the optical fibers in an alignment direction in a predetermined order when the optical fibers are inserted into the fiber insertion portion; and a fiber holding portion that includes a mount surface on which the optical fibers are mounted. The fiber aligner and the fiber holding portion are relatively movable in the alignment direction of the optical fibers.

A connector-attached optical fiber cord includes: an optical fiber cord including a coated optical fiber and a sheath surrounding a circumference of the coated optical fiber; a ferrule attached to a front end of the coated optical fiber; a housing that houses the ferrule and the optical fiber cord such that the ferrule is exposed to an exterior of the housing at a front end of the housing while the optical fiber cord extends out of a rear end of the housing; a protective tube attached to a portion of the optical fiber cord in which the coated optical fiber is exposed; and a boot attached to the rear end of the housing and that allows the portion of the optical fiber cord to be inserted through the boot.
