A Virtual Device is described which is composed of at least one Open device, e.g. a PDA, laptop or mobile phone that can be programmed, at least one Closed device, e.g. a camcorder or digital camera with a closed inner structure, and a number of Primitive devices, e.g. a head-set or microphone. A middleware installed on one or more Open Devices or on an external server will act as an operation system getting the devices to cooperate as one Virtual Device.

A mobile commerce receipt system and method providing a user of a mobile telecommunications terminal with a reliable electronic proof of reservation, purchase and/or payment made. By e-commerce means, the user places an order with a vendor or merchant and makes electronic payment. The vendor issues an electronic contract, sending the contract to a Trusted Third Party (TTP) receipt server. The TTP validates the contract, generates an electronic, digital receipt which is to sent the vendor. The vendor sends the receipt to the mobile terminal of the user, the mobile terminal storing the receipt for subsequent presentation at the point of delivery of the ordered goods or services.

A method is disclosed by which a user of a roaming mobile station can procure services and goods from a content provider at a visiting site. The content provider establishes contact with a mobile e-commerce server, the visited MeC server. The visited MeC server directs the request to the users home MeC server. The home MeC server performs the authentication of the user. In this way security relevant information is not revealed to the visited MeC server.

The present invention relates to a method for providing mobility to a user in a telecommunication system composed of different sites. Each site has a Site Agent (SA). The user is represented by a User Agent (UA) which controls three tasks agents, an Application Agent (AA) in charge of the user applications, a Data Agent (DA) in charge of the user data (document files) and a Profile Agent (PA) in charge of the user's profiles. When the user visits a new site, the visiting site agent (SA ) retracts his home UA, causing it to move to the visiting site. The UA investigates the resources available and the users work preferences at the visiting site. UA retracts the tasks agents from the home site, and the tasks agents collect the files that are necessary to implement the requested services.
