A jet for use in spas and hydrotherapeutic reservoirs having a first set of nozzles aligned in a plane at the water entrance side of the jet and a second set of nozzles aligned one-to-one with the first set of nozzles at the water exit side of the jet. A chamber separates the two sets of nozzles and includes a slot which is used to introduce air into the fluid stream. The amount of air introduced into the chamber is controlled by the user by rotating the jet within its housing from a maximum air intake position to a 'no-air' intake position, air being introduced through a slot surrounded by a rectangular seal structure. A housing is provided to mount the jet within the wall of a spa comprising a rear wall mounting, an end cap, and a front wall mounting. Water is introduced to the multiple jet structure via a single horizontal water inlet. The servicing of multiple jets by the single water inlet and air line improves plumbing reliability and further reduces labor by minimizing the number of plumbing joints.

Gatling jet

A rotating nozzle for use in whirlpools, spas, baths, pools and the like is disclosed wherein a nozzle comprising a rotating head and integral cylindrical pipe-shaped inlet is mounted directly within a mounting bracket using a ball bearing assembly. Inner and outer ball bearing races on the nozzle inlet and mounting bracket respectively journal the nozzle in the mounting bracket, and the outlets of the nozzle are aligned to dispel water in a manner to impart rotation on the nozzle. The inner and outer races house a set of ball bearings, and a spacer which maintains adequate separation of the ball bearings. The unitary design of the present invention is simpler than the prior art and requires fewer parts, and the reduction in frictional losses translates into a faster rotation and increased massage effect.

Rotary spa jet

A discharge jet assembly for spas including a rear wall fitting, an orifice cap closing the rear wall fitting, and a jet body rotatably mounted within the wall fitting. The rear wall fitting includes a cylindrical central cavity and a vertically disposed air orifice opening into the central cavity. A rear portion of the jet body defines a cylindrical mixing chamber fed by a horizontal cylindrical water inlet and by an air inlet channel formed in the outer circumference of the jet body. The air inlet channel is positioned so as to rotate into and out of communication with the air orifice of the rear wall fitting. The jet body further includes structure for interacting with a stop on the orifice cap so as to appropriately limit rotation of the jet body air inlet channel with respect to the air orifice. An arced continuous seal containment groove and integrally mounted seal surrounds the air inlet channel so as to provide an airtight seal between the rear wall fitting and the jet body. Male retainer elements employing rearward-facing split projections which plug into complementary openings in a female retainer element facilitate mounting of various nozzle styles within the jet assembly. Axial flutes formed in a barrel portion of an eyeball nozzle component provide a flow rate enhancing feature.
