A system may be configured to determine a floor of a building in which the user device is located at a time a call was placed. The information, indicating the determined floor, may be provided to a callee, such as a public safety answering point ('PSAP'). The floor may be determined based on, for example, comparing an altitude of the user device and/or a list of networks or devices that are visible to the user device, to a set of reference information.

Floor identification for emergency calls

A first device may receive a service authorization instruction from a second device. The service authorization instruction may include one or more authorization parameters and an instruction to associate or disassociate a key, with a service, to permit or prevent the service to be accessed using the key. The key may be embedded in an application used to provide an application instruction corresponding to a request for the service. The first device may validate the service authorization instruction based on the one or more authorization parameters; and update, based on validating the service authorization instruction, information identifying services that are accessible using the key to permit or prevent the service to be accessed using the key without modifying the key embedded in the application.

Securely updating information identifying services accessible via keys

Digital signal processors (DSPs) process the digital baseband signals associated with CPRI links between BBUs and RRHs. The DSPs may be implemented at the RRH nodes (e.g., at the link leading to the BBU node), at the BBU node (e.g., at the links leading to the RRH nodes), or at both. The DSPs may be used to increase performance of the RAN. For example, the DSPs may implement digital filters designed to enhance the performance of the RAN.

RAN performance through digital signal processing between baseband unit and remote radio heads

One or more first servers may receive a token, generated by a second server based on the second server validating an authorization parameter received by a third server; receive, from the second server, a token parameter, associated with the token and being associated with the authorization parameter and identifying a credential associated with the third server; receive, from the third server, a request to update the credential, the request including the token; validate the token; form an updated credential based on the token parameter and based on validating the token; and provide the updated credential to the third server. The credential may be replaced, by the third server, with the updated credential without interaction with a user of the third server.

Secure access credential updating

A system may be configured to request, from a user device, consent for an application server to output one or more messages to the user device. When requesting the consent, the system may output a consent message associated with the application server. The system may receive, from the user device, an indication of consent, the indication being sent by the user device based on the consent message; and enforce, by the consent gateway device, the consent indicated by the user device. When enforcing the consent, the system may allow or disallow application traffic, from the application server, based on the indication of consent. The application traffic may be associated with the user device.

Dynamic consent engine

A network device receives utilization information, for an infrastructure network, that provides data for individual segments of the infrastructure network. Based on the data for the individual segments, the network device generates a costing matrix that includes prices for each segment of the individual segments. The network device identifies particular segments of the infrastructure network associated with an end-to-end path for a subscriber and generates pricing of different service levels for the end-to-end path. The pricing is based on the costing matrix and a particular time period. The network device provides, to the subscriber, a user interface that includes service plan options with the pricing of different service levels for the end-to-end path and receives, via the user interface, a selection of one of the service plan options. The network device sends instructions to provision the infrastructure network to support the selected service plan option.

Dynamic auctioning of unused network capacity

An emergency message handling system may manage emergency SMS text messages sent by wireless mobile communication devices, such as to 911. Each message may be sent to an emergency call service having a TTY messaging system. The emergency message handling system may include an SMS network interface, a computer processing system, and a TTY network interface. The SMS network interface may be configured to receive the emergency SMS text messages. The computer processing system may include an SMS-To-TTY message converter configured to convert each of the emergency SMS text messages into TTY format. The TTY network interface may be configured to deliver each of the converted emergency SMS text messages in TTY format to the TTY messaging system of the emergency call service to which the emergency SMS text message was sent. Emergency TTY messages from the emergency call service to the wireless mobile communication device may similarly be delivered to the TTY network interface, converted by a TTY-To-SMS message converter in the computer processing system into SMS format, and sent by the SMS network interface to the wireless mobile communication device.

Text messaging 911 calls using PSAP TTY functionality

This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for mobile terminated message SPAM control (hereinafter, 'M-SPAM Restrictor'). In one embodiment, M-SPAM Restrictor systems implement a live application at a mobile network element that processes message service, whereby a message rate limit is set on the element, and a message source may be blocked from further messaging activity if the rate of message activity exceeds the rate limit, until the offending source has resolved the issue with the service provider (carrier).

Methods, systems and computer program products for a mobile-terminated message SPAM restrictor

An emergency message handling system manages emergency SMS text messages sent by mobile stations. The system also includes an emergency handling platform comprising an SMS gateway server, an SMS application server, and an SMS-To TTY message converter. In response to an emergency SMS text message received via a mobile communication network, the emergency handling platform determines the location of the mobile station and identifies the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) assigned to cover the location of the mobile station. If the PSAP assigned is only TTY compatible, the text message is converted to TTY. A TTY selective router is configured to deliver each of converted emergency SMS text message in TTY format to the TTY messaging system of the TTY PSAP. However, if the PSAP assigned is IP network compatible, then the text message is delivered directly to the IP compatible PSAP without any TTY conversions.

Text messaging 911 calls

A disclosed enterprise instant messaging (IM) service aggregator enables validation of mobile stations and/or users for enterprise IM service through a wireless communication network; and in the examples, the enterprise IM service provides a secure messaging environment that allows IM traffic to/from wireless mobile stations. The security offered may be unique to and controlled by each enterprise, for example, by enabling each enterprise to generate its own encryption key for distribution through the aggregator and by allowing mobile stations to generate their own keys for distribution back through the aggregator to the enterprise IM servers. As disclosed, the login credentials are encrypted from the mobile station to the enterprise IM server. The use of standard encryption methods within the call flows allows a simple method of ensuring that only authorized users can access the enterprise servers and that the messages will be encrypted by the strongest possible means.

Enterprise instant message aggregator

A Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) parameter is used for managing message content of a message within a wireless communication network, such as an SMS message. A content rating is associated with a short code corresponding to the content and the content rating is inserted, for example, into a Tag Length Variable (TLV) field of the message. The content rating can be compared with a subscriber rating to determine whether to block or approve delivery of a message based upon the comparison.

Using an SMPP parameter for managing message content within a wireless network

A system and method for synchronizing clocks related to telecommunications across an unsynchronized point-to-point network connection utilizes downstream data timed using a high frequency transmission clock to transfer timing information of a central telecom-based clock from a first network node to a second network node. In an exemplary embodiment, the point-to-point network connection is an Ethernet-based connection that operates in accordance with a Gigabit Ethernet standard. The timing information of the central telecom-based clock is extracted from the transmitted data at the second network node by recovering the high frequency transmission clock and then, deriving a reference clock, which is synchronized with the central telecom-based clock, from the recovered transmission clock. The reference clock is then used to generate one or more telecom-related clocks that are used by the second network node.

System and method for synchronizing telecom-related clocks across an unsynchronized point-to-point network connection

A system and method for synchronizing clocks related to telecommunications throughout s point-to-multipoint optical network utilizes downstream data timed using a high frequency transmission clock to distribute timing information of a central telecom-based clock to remote terminals. In an exemplary embodiment, the point-to-multipoint optical network system is an Ethernet-based passive optical network (PON) system that operates in accordance with a Gigabit Ethernet standard. The timing information of the central telecom-based clock is extracted from the downstream data at each remote terminal by recovering the high frequency transmission clock and then, deriving a reference clock, which is synchronized with the central telecom-based clock, from the recovered transmission clock. The reference clock is then used to generate one or more telecom-related clocks that are needed by the remote terminal. The system and method allows telecom-related clocks throughout the system to be synchronized in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
