There is provided a new phosphoric ester compound represented by the formula below. ##STR1## (where one or more than one of the three R's are hydroxyl-terminated polyester residues obtained by self-polycondensation of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid; and one or two of the three R's, in case of being remained, are hydrogen atoms, cations, or residues of an alcohol excluding the above-mentioned polyesters.)

There is provided a new pigment composition composed of a pigment and a dispersant wherein the dispersant is a phosphoric ester compound represented by the formula below. ##STR1## (where one or more than one of the three R's are residues of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid and/or hydroxy ester thereof; and one or two of the three R's, in case of being remained, are hydrogen atoms, cations, or residues of an alcohol excluding the above-mentioned residues.)
