A multi-layered solid electrolytic capacitor and a method of manufacturing the capacitor that improve the product yield drastically by preventing increases in leakage current and defects due to short circuits without increasing manufacturing cost or capacitor size. A multi-layered solid electrolytic capacitor includes: a plurality of capacitor elements, each including an aluminum foil having an anode portion and a cathode portion having a dielectric oxide film and a cathode layer formed in succession on a surface of the aluminum foil, wherein the plurality of capacitor elements are stacked on top of one another, the anode portions of adjacent capacitor elements are welded each other, and the anode portion of one of the outermost capacitor elements is weld-secured to an anode terminal, the multi-layered solid electrolytic capacitor having a first stress alleviating groove and a second stress alleviating groove formed in at least one of weld surfaces of the anode portion.

Multi-layered solid electrolytic capacitor and method of manufacturing same

A solid electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element having an anode body partly provided with a cathode layer, an anode-side and a cathode-side lead frame attached to a lower surface of the capacitor element, and a housing covering the lead frames and the capacitor element except lower surfaces of the lead frames. Both of the lead frames are exposed on the bottom face of the housing. The anode-side lead frame extending longitudinally of the capacitor is provided in an outer end portion thereof with at least two strips which separate each other. Outer end portions of the strips are exposed on the outer end face of the housing. A concave space is formed between the strips and is filled with resin forming the housing.

Solid electrolytic capacitor

A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element and an outer shell, made of an insulating resin, that covers the capacitor element. The capacitor element has a winding portion that is formed by rolling an anode foil with a dielectric oxidized film formed on its surface, a cathode foil, and a separator that is sandwiched between the anode foil and the cathode foil, and a conductive polymer layer is formed between the anode foil and the cathode foil. An anode lead wire electrically connected to the anode foil, and a cathode lead wire electrically connected to the cathode foil extend from the winding portion, penetrate the outer shell, and are respectively connected to an anode electrode terminal and a cathode electrode terminal that are arranged on a surface of the outer shell.

A solid electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element having an anode body partly provided with a cathode layer, an anode-side and a cathode-side lead frame attached to a lower surface of the capacitor element, and a housing covering the lead frames and the capacitor element except lower surfaces of the lead frames. The housing covers an outer end face of each of the lead frames, the outer end face of each lead frame being provided with a filling portion filled with a resin forming the housing.

A solid electrolytic capacitor includes an anode body formed with a dielectric oxide film, a laminate cathode provided on the dielectric oxide film, a cathode lead frame provided on the cathode, and an anode lead frame attached to a lead portion of the anode body. The laminate cathode includes a solid electrolyte layer, and a mixture layer of a mixture of silver flake particles and carbon particles provided directly on an outer surface of the solid electrolyte layer.
