A casing () is divided into a cylindrical first case portion () integrally having a partition part (), a second case portion () connected to one end of the first case portion in an axial direction and configured to cover a second space (S), and a third case portion () connected to the other end of the first case portion in the axial direction and configured to cover a first space (S). A signal cable passed through a through hole () of the partition part extends from a sensor () to an external connector () provided in the second case portion or the third case portion, and is anchored to the first case portion () in the vicinity of a through hole () of the partition part.

Motor drive device for vehicles

A vehicle drive device uses a parallel shaft gear reducer () in which a gear is composed of helical gear, as a speed reducer part (B) that decelerates and outputs a rotation of an electric motor part (A). In the vehicle drive device, of meshing parts of the gears formed in the speed reducer part (B), two gears form a meshing part in which the amount of misalignment that occurs between the tooth surfaces of the two gears meshing with each other is different during driving and during coasting of a vehicle. A first tooth surface (S) meshing with a mating tooth surface during driving is subjected to tooth surface modification, and a second tooth surface (S) meshing with a mating tooth surface during coasting is subjected to tooth surface modification of an amount different from an amount of the tooth surface modification to the first tooth surface (S).

Vehicle drive device

A gear shaft of an output gear in a speed reducer of an in-wheel motor driving device is supported at a first end thereof and a second end thereof with respect to a housing. The gear shaft of the output gear is formed with a spline hole. The spline hole provides a spline-connection with an output shaft of a wheel hub.

In-wheel motor driving device

A plurality of circumferential finsare formed on an outer peripheral surface of a motor casing, and a plurality of finsare formed on an outer surface of a motor rear cover. Lubricant circulates in a motor-casing oil passageprovided in the motor casing, a motor-rear-cover oil passageprovided in the motor rear cover, and a speed reduction portion B. This lubricant is cooled when flowing in the motor-casing oil passageand the motor-rear-cover oil passage. Thus, an in-wheel motor drive deviceis efficiently cooled.

A cooling structure for an inverter () controls a motor () to drive an automobile. This inverter device () includes a power circuit section () having an inverter () to convert a DC power of a battery () to an AC power for the motor (), and a casing () enclosing the power circuit section (). A fin () is provided in an outer surface of the casing (), a coolant path () for the flow of a cooling medium is provided within the casing () or in the outer surface thereof, and a pump () circulating the cooling medium in the coolant path () is disposed on or in the casing (). With this structure, the flow resistance for cooling the inverter () is reduced to allow the pump () to be downsized and a proper cooling can be accomplished to the amount of heat by the inverter ().

A fluid dynamic bearing device () includes: a shaft member (); a housing () as an outer member which is arranged on a radially outer side of the shaft member () and is opened at both ends; a radial bearing gap which is formed on a radially inner side of the housing () and faces an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member (); and a lid member () closing an opening on one end side of the housing (), wherein the lid member () is fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the housing () with a fastening allowance which does not affect accuracy of a surface defining an outer diameter dimension of the radial bearing gap so that the housing () and the lid member () are bonded and fixed to each other.

In-wheel motor drive assembly

A fluid dynamic bearing device which can exhibit high bearing performance is provided at low costs by forming a highly accurate bearing gap. At least a region in the outer circumferential surface of a shaft which faces the radial bearing gap is constituted of an electroformed part, and the region of the shaft excluding the electroformed part is constituted of a resin portion.

An object of the present invention is to maintain a predetermined positional relationship between an outer pin holder and a housing in a speed reducer section B, to prevent damage to such components as revolving members, outer circumferential engagers, and motion conversion mechanism upon a large axial load due to turning or sudden acceleration/deceleration, and to eliminate rattling noise caused by a housing and the outer pin holder. An elastic member is disposed on one or both axial end surfaces of the outer pin holder, between the outer pin holder and the housing. As a result, even if there is an axial load exerted on the outer pin holder, the outer pin holder is always held at a predetermined position by restoring force from the elastic member(s), in a proper positional relationship with the housing.

A fluid dynamic bearing device includes: a shaft member; a bearing sleeve which forms a radial bearing gap between the bearing sleeve and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member; a housing which accommodates the bearing sleeve and is opened at both ends; and a lid member which closes an opening on one end side of the housing and forms thrust bearing portions. The housing is an injection-molded product into which the bearing sleeve is inserted, and the housing has another end with which a seal portion forming a seal space is integrally formed. The lid member is fitted with the outer peripheral surface of the housing by loose fitting so that the lid member and the housing are bonded and fixed to each other.
