A monitoring system includes monitoring devices provided in a monitored device and monitoring the monitored device, and a controller that wirelessly communicates with the monitoring devices to acquire monitoring information of the monitored device from the monitoring devices. The monitored device is switchable between an operating state and a non-operating state. In the non-operating state of the monitored device, the monitoring devices establish communication connections in which at least one of the monitoring devices acts as a communication master and others of the monitoring devices act as communication slaves for the communication master. In the non-operating state of the monitored device, the controller does not act as a communication master for the monitoring devices.

Monitoring system

A battery management system includes monitoring devices arranged in a housing accommodating a battery. The monitoring devices monitor the battery and acquire battery monitoring information. The controller performs wireless communication with each of the monitoring devices via a wireless communication connection. The controller transmits a disconnection instruction to each of the monitoring devices. Each of the monitoring devices periodically executes a requesting operation after disconnection of the wireless communication connection. The controller accepts the requesting operation to establish the wireless communication connection. The controller and each of the monitoring devices perform a periodic communication of the battery monitoring information via the established wireless communication connection. Each of the monitoring devices determines start timing of the requesting operation based on reception timing of the disconnection instruction so that at least some of timings of requesting operations of the monitoring devices do not overlap with each other.

System and method for battery management

A battery management system includes at least one monitoring device and a controller. The monitoring device is arranged in a housing accommodating a battery to monitor the battery and acquires battery monitoring information that includes information indicating a state of the battery. The controller performs wireless communication with the monitoring device and executes a predetermined process based on the battery monitoring information. The monitoring device inserts the battery monitoring information in a packet and transmits the packet to the controller during a period of a connection process executed for establishing the wireless communication between the at least one monitoring device and the controller.

A monitoring system includes monitoring devices provided in a monitored device, and a controller that wirelessly communicates with the monitoring devices to acquire monitoring information. In an operating state of the monitored device, the controller and the monitoring devices establish individual connections in which the controller acting as a communication master performs wireless communication with each of the monitoring devices acting as communication slaves. In the sequential connection, the controller acting as a communication master performs wireless communication with one of the monitoring devices acting as a communication slave, and one of the monitoring devices, in sequence, acting as a communication master performs wireless communication with another one of the monitoring devices acting as a communication slave.

A battery management system includes a monitoring device and a controller. The monitoring device is arranged in a housing accommodating a battery. The monitoring device monitors the battery and acquires battery monitoring information that includes information indicating a state of the battery. The controller performs wireless communication with the monitoring device and executes a predetermined process based on the battery monitoring information. The monitoring device holds imperfect information that is battery monitoring information indicating failure of data transmission/reception between the monitoring device and the controller. The monitoring device retransmits information corresponding to the imperfect information from next time the battery monitoring information is transmitted.

A battery management system includes a monitoring device and a controller. The monitoring device is arranged in a housing accommodating a battery, monitors the battery and acquires battery monitoring information that includes information indicating a state of the battery. The controller performs wireless communication with the monitoring device and execute a predetermined process based on the battery monitoring information. The controller transmits a request for battery monitoring information to the monitoring device. The monitoring device transmits the battery monitoring information to the controller in response to the request. The controller determines whether missing of the battery monitoring information has occurred based on a correlation between the battery monitoring information acquired from the monitoring device via wireless communication and relationship information held by the controller related to the battery monitoring information.

A battery diagnosis apparatus includes an SOC calculator, a &#x394;SOC obtaining unit, a largest block identification unit, and a diagnosis unit. The SOC calculator calculates an SOC for each parallel cell block included in a battery assembly based on an output from a battery sensor that detects a state of the battery assembly. When charging or discharging of the battery assembly is carried out, the &#x394;SOC obtaining unit obtains &#x394;SOC for each parallel cell block. The largest block identification unit identifies a largest block in a diagnosis target. When a degree of deviation between &#x394;SOC of the largest block and a &#x394;SOC reference value exceeds a prescribed level, the diagnosis unit determines that abnormality has occurred in the largest block in the diagnosis target.

Battery diagnosis apparatus and vehicle

A battery system includes a controller that performs a calculation to calculate an internal resistance of a battery, and executes a predetermined operation based on the result. The calculation includes obtaining a regression line through a regression analysis of a current-voltage plot obtained from voltage sensor and current sensor, and calculating the internal resistance from a slope of the regression line. The controller calculates a first internal resistance through the calculation based on a first group of detection values of the voltage and current detected a plurality of times, and calculate a second internal resistance through the calculation based on a second group of detection values. The controller executes the predetermined operation when a resistance difference between the first and second internal resistances is smaller than a reference value, and does not execute the operation when the resistance difference is larger than the reference value.

Battery system

A control device comprises an acquisition unit that acquires a current to or from the battery and a voltage of a battery, a calculation unit that calculates an internal resistance of the battery based on the current and the voltage when the regenerative power generation is performed by a rotary electric machine, and a permission determination unit that determines whether to permit an automatic stop of an engine depending on whether restarting of the engine is enabled based on power running drive of the rotary electric machine. The calculation unit calculates a value of the internal resistance each time the regenerative power generation or the power running drive is performed before the engine enters an automatic stop state. The permission determination unit determines whether to permit the automatic stop based on a latest value of the internal resistance among values of the internal resistance calculated by the calculation unit.

Control device

In a power control device for a vehicle in which an electric motor for driving the vehicle to travel is supplied with power from a battery mounted on the vehicle and a fuel cell, a control unit sets a target charging rate (SOCt) of the battery in such a manner that the target charging rate decreases as a remaining fuel amount (Qf) of the fuel cell decreases after the power generation of the fuel cell is started during high-output/high-speed travelling and controls a power generation output (Pf) of the fuel cell based on a difference between the target charging rate (SOCt) and a current charging rate (SOC).

Power control device for vehicle

The semiconductor device including: two fins having rectangular parallelepiped shapes arranged in parallel in X-direction; and a gate electrode arranged thereon via a gate insulating film and extending in Y-direction is configured as follows. First, a drain plug is provided over a drain region located on one side of the gate electrode and extending in Y-direction. Then, two source plugs are provided over a source region located on the other side of the gate electrode and extending in Y-direction. Also, the drain plug is arranged in a displaced manner so that its position in Y-direction may not overlap with the two source plugs. According to such a configuration, the gate-drain capacitance can be made smaller than the gate-source capacitance and a Miller effect-based circuit delay can be suppressed. Further, as compared with capacitance on the drain side, capacitance on the source side increases, thereby improving stability of circuit operation.

Semiconductor device

A liquid-mixing device that minimizes solvent leakage and reduces creep of or damage to the component parts of said liquid-mixing device even at ultrahigh pressures of 100 MPa and up. Also, a liquid chromatography device using said liquid-mixing device. Said liquid chromatography device is provided with a supply pump that supplies a plurality of different solutions, a liquid-mixing device that mixes the supplied solutions, a sample injection device that injects a sample into the mixture of solutions, a column that separates the components of the injected sample, and a detector that detects the separated components. The liquid-mixing device has an inlet-side connector through which the plurality of different solutions flow in, a liquid-mixing section in which said solutions are mixed, and an outflow-side connector through which the mixed solutions flow out. The inlet-side connector and the liquid-mixing section are directly bonded to each other via diffusion bonding, as are the liquid-mixing section and the exit-side connector.

A technique is provided which enables preparation of a curved grating having a desired curvature, by plastically deforming, along a curved substrate, a flat grating prepared by a semiconductor process on a silicon substrate, and which thus prepares a diffraction grating with high accuracy. A silicon flat grating prepared by a semiconductor process is transferred to an amorphous material, and the amorphous material substrate is curved and mounted on a curved fixed substrate, thus providing a curved grating having a crystalline material in which the generation of a dislocation line is restrained.
