The present application discloses a display device capable of satisfactorily displaying an image without causing insufficient charging even when it is difficult to ensure a time for sufficiently charging a holding capacitor of a pixel circuit. For each of m pixel circuit columns in a display portion, a data signal line group made up of a data signal line Doj connected to an odd-numbered pixel circuit in the pixel circuit column and a data signal line Dej connected to an even-numbered pixel circuit in the pixel circuit column, and a signal distributorto which the data signal line group is connected are provided. A data-side drive circuitprovides data signals Sto Sm to signal distributorsto, respectively, and each signal distributordistributes the provided data signal Sj to two data signal lines connected thereto. A display device includes: a semiconductor layer; a gate insulating film; a first display wire; a first interlayer insulating film; a second display wire; a second interlayer insulating film; and a third display wire stacked on a substrate in this order, pixel circuits being provided corresponding to intersections of data signal lines and scanning signal lines included in the third display wire, each of the pixel circuits including a first transistor and a second transistor in which any one of the scanning signal lines overlaps the semiconductor layer through the gate insulating film, one terminal of the first transistor and one terminal of the second transistor are connected together through a connector included in a conductor region of the semiconductor layer, and the connector includes an overlap connector overlapped in a plan view with the data signal lines through a constant potential wires included in the first display wire.

Display device with reduced leakage current

This application discloses a current-driven display device able to suppress degradation in display quality due to a luminance gradient or the like caused by a voltage drop across a power supply line while avoiding an increase in size of the circuit as much as possible. In an organic EL display device, a high-level power supply line includes a main wiring line, trunk wiring lines branching off from the main wiring line and extending in a column direction, and branch wiring lines extending in a row direction along scanning signal lines, respectively. The trunk wiring lines and the branch wiring lines are formed in different layers from each other with an insulating layer interposed therebetween, where each branch wiring line is electrically connected conductively to at least one trunk wiring line through a contact hole, and each trunk wiring line is electrically connected conductively to only one branch wiring line through a contact hole. Each of pixel circuits is configured such that no current flows in a data write period thereof, so that no voltage drop is generated in the data write period across the corresponding branch wiring line and the trunk wiring line connected to the corresponding branch wiring line.

Display device

A display device includes five light-emitting layers including four light-emitting layers arranged in two rows and two columns, and one light-emitting layer diagonally adjacent to each of the four light-emitting, layers, wherein three subpixel circuits corresponding to the one light-emitting layer and two light-emitting layers adjacent in a row direction among the five light-emitting layers are connected to an identical scanning signal line, and four subpixel circuits corresponding to the one light-emitting layer and three light-emitting layers diagonally adjacent to the one light-emitting layer among the five light-emitting layers are connected to four different data signal lines.

A first region and a second region do not include sub-pixel circuits. The second region is surrounded by a display area. The first region is surrounded by the second region. When viewed orthogonally to the display area, a plurality of signal lines are provided across the second region. The signal lines include at least either two or more of scanning signal lines, or two or more of data signal lines. The signal lines across the second region run out of an edge of the first region.

A pixel circuit includes a light-emitting element, a drive transistor, a power supply control transistor, a light emission control transistor, a first writing control transistor, a threshold voltage compensation transistor, a second writing control transistor, an initialization transistor, and a data-holding capacitor. During a data writing period, a scanning signal is active, an initialization voltage is supplied to a first electrode of the data-holding capacitor via the drive transistor, and a data voltage is supplied to a second electrode of the data-holding capacitor.

The present application discloses an organic EL display device adopting the SSD method, which enables sufficient charging with a data voltage and sufficient internal compensation in a pixel circuit even in a case that a display image has a higher resolution. There are provided m demultiplexers corresponding to m sets of data signal line groups, each of which is a set including k data signal lines (in this case, k=3). Each demultiplexer turns selection control signals to a low level (active) during a rest period before a scanning signal line is selected. In this case, a white voltage is supplied as a reset voltage from a data-side drive circuit to each data signal line via each demultiplexer. After that, each demultiplexer sequentially turns the selection control signals to an active state for a predetermined period such that the select control signal turns to the active state during the select period for the scanning signal line. With this, the data signals are sequentially supplied from the data-side drive circuit to the k data signal lines.
