An antenna device includes a ground plate, a patch portion disposed parallel to the ground plate with a particular spacing, a plurality of short circuit portions that electrically connect the patch portion to the ground plate, and a loop portion which is a loop shaped conductor member at a particular spacing from an outer edge portion of the patch portion. The patch portion has an area which forms an electrostatic capacitance that causes parallel resonance with an inductance provided by the short circuit portions at a particular target frequency. The loop portion is formed with a perimeter length which is an integral multiple of the wavelength of radio waves at the target frequency. A feed point is disposed on the loop portion, and current is supplied to the patch portion through the loop portion.

Antenna device

An antenna device includes a ground plate, a patch section parallel to, and spaced apart from, the ground plate, a first short circuit section having a plurality of first conductive elements that electrically connect the patch section and the ground plate, and a second short circuit section having a plurality of second conductive elements electrically connected at one end to the ground plate. The plurality of first conductive elements are arranged in a circle with a first radius from a patch center point and provide a preset inductance. The plurality of second conductive elements are arranged in a circle with a second radius from the patch center point and provide a preset inductance.

The invention includes: charging/discharging devices including storage batteries and having a grid-connected function to perform charging/discharging operations on an electric power system and an islanded-operation function to supply the electric power system with a constant-voltage constant-frequency electric power; a monitor detects an electric power state of the charging/discharging device and to transmit detection output to the charging/discharging device; and a switching unit connects and disconnects commercial power source to and from electric power system. When a commercial power source is normal, the switching unit connects the commercial power source to the electric power system and charging/discharging devices establish a grid connection. When commercial power source fails, switching unit disconnects commercial power source from electric power system, charging/discharging device performs an islanded operation, and charging/discharging device performs a charging/discharging operation according to a detection output of monitor and performs control so that islanded operation electric power of charging/discharging device becomes constant.

Islanded operating system

A nonreciprocal transmission line apparatus is provided with a cascade connection of unit cells between ports. Each unit cell includes a transmission line part for a microwave signal, and shunt branch circuits equivalently including inductive elements. Each unit cells has spontaneous magnetization or is magnetized by an external magnetic field so as to have gyrotropy by being magnetized in a magnetization direction different from a propagation direction of the transmission line part. In each of the unit cells, the shunt branch circuits includes a first stub conductor formed on one side with respect to a plane composed of the propagation direction and the magnetization direction, and a second stub conductor formed on the other side with respect to the plane, and the stub conductors have different electric length from each other.

In a metamaterial, a dielectric layer includes a host medium and dielectric bodies disposed in rows with predetermined intervals therebetween is sandwiched between a pair of conductive mesh plates each having holes, thereby forming a functional layer including dielectric resonators corresponding to the dielectric bodies. The metamaterial is configured by laminating the functional layers. The holes and the dielectric resonators are positioned coaxially and an electromagnetic wave is propagated in each of the functional layers in a propagation direction perpendicular to a multi-layered laminate surface such that the metamaterial function as a left-handed metamaterial in relation to the propagation direction perpendicular to the multi-layered surface.

A transmission line microwave apparatus includes at least one nonreciprocal transmission line part, which includes a series branch circuit equivalently including a capacitive element and a shunt branch circuit equivalently including an inductive element. The nonreciprocal transmission line part has gyrotropic characteristic by being magnetized in a magnetization direction different from the propagation direction of a microwave, and has an asymmetric structure to a plane formed by the propagation direction and the magnetization direction. The nonreciprocal transmission line part has a propagation constant and an operating frequency set in a dispersion curve that represents a relation between the propagation constant and the operating frequency so that the propagation constant in the forward direction and the propagation constant in the backward direction have nonreciprocal phase characteristics different from each other. A microwave transmission line is constituted by cascade-connecting at least one non-reciprocal transmission line part between first and second ports.
