A hollow fiber membrane sheet-like object in which a plurality of hollow fiber membranes is aligned in parallel with each other and fixed to each other while both end faces of each of the hollow fiber membranes in a longitudinal direction are open, wherein at least one belt-like binding portion made of an elastic body having an elongation percentage (E) stipulated by JIS K6251 of 100% or more and extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is formed at each of both end portions of the hollow fiber membrane sheet-like object, and the plurality of hollow fiber membranes is fixed to each other.

A hollow fiber membrane module in which a housing body forming the hollow fiber membrane module includes an insertion opening into which end parts of the plurality of hollow fiber membranes are inserted so as to be fixed and held, and an opening portion which exposes open end surfaces of a plurality of hollow fiber membranes inserted from the insertion opening to outside, and a cover that blocks the opening portion of the housing body. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a housing enabling open end surfaces of hollow fiber membranes to be sealed by easily exposing the open end surfaces of the hollow fiber membranes when the hollow fiber membranes are damaged.

An air diffuser apparatus component in a membrane filtration unit including an air main pipe connected to an aeration blower(s), liquid supply piping that joins the air main pipe in midstream, a branch conduit horizontally connected through a gas supply pipe branched from the air main pipe, and a plurality of air diffusion pipes horizontally to the branch pipe conduit, each diffusion pipe having diffusion holes opening substantially vertically downward, is cleaned. This involves setting a gas flow rate in the branch pipe conduit in a range of 1 m/sec or more and 8 m/sec or less, and a liquid supply rate in the branch pipe conduit in a range from 0.03 L/min/mmto 0.2 L/min/mm. This solid sludge clogging diffusion holes to be efficiently removed with a gas-liquid mixing fluid without stopping for a drainage treatment.

Method of cleaning air diffuser apparatus

A membrane filter unit includes a hollow fiber membrane module with a plurality of sheet-like hollow fiber membrane elements arrayed in parallel at predetermined intervals, each of the hollow fiber membrane elements obtained by arranging a great number of porous hollow fiber membranes in parallel, and an air diffuser arranged below the hollow fiber membrane module for releasing minute bubbles toward a lower end of the hollow fiber membrane module and generating a gas-liquid mixed flow vertically swirling between an inner space and an outer space of the hollow fiber membrane module. The membrane filter unit has a residue eliminating mechanism for forming a forced flow in part of the mixed flow between the porous hollow fiber membranes and between the sheet-like hollow fiber membrane elements of the fiber membrane module.

In a hollow fiber membrane flat module according to the present invention, both ends of hollow fiber membrane bundle which are formed by bundling a plurality of hollow fiber membrane as a sheet are fixed to two housing separately by a fixing resin while maintaining an opening condition in an opening end section in the follow fiber membrane. Furthermore, a maximum width in an orthogonal direction to a longitudinal direction of the hollow fiber membrane is no longer than 25 mm in a cross section which is orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the housings, and a maximum deflection in the housings which are measured according to a method for measuring the deflection according to the present invention is not more than 1% of a distance between the two housings. In such a hollow fiber membrane module, it is possible to enhance the integration ratio of the hollow fiber membrane module per a unit volume of the hollow fiber membrane module unit in which there is less deflections in the housing caused by adjust the wavelength dispersion and the dispersion slope always in minimum level automatically only by matching the position of the reflecting mirror, the dispersion compensation amount and the dispersion slope compensation amount which correspond to a shape of the reflecting surfaceon the reflecting mirrorwhich is selected under such a current condition in advance. Factors such as an air bubble, and the entanglement of the hollow fiber membranes is restricted; thus, a hollow fiber membrane is not damaged. Also, in the hollow fiber membrane module, it is preferable that the housing is provided with a reinforcing rib section which strengthens the housing.
