An image shooting device includes an image shooting part, an operation part, a display part that displays a first image which is being shot by the image shooting part under a first light source on a display medium, a recording part that records a second image shot under a second light source by the image shooting part which receives the image shooting instruction from the operation part in a storage medium, a shooting condition setting part that sets a first shooting condition for the first image and a second shooting condition for the second image when the first light source is different from the second light source, and a shooting condition control part that performs control on shooting conditions of the image shooting part such that the first image is shot under the first shooting condition and the second image is shot under the second shooting condition.

An image processing apparatus can correct band-like unevenness due to flickering with a simple arrangement. For this purpose, the image processing apparatus includes a detecting unit which detects, in the image to be processed, a band-like unevenness occurring along a direction substantially perpendicular to the scanning direction of the imaging sensor included in the image-capturing apparatus used when performing image-capturing of the image, a calculating unit which calculates a correction amount to correct the band-like unevenness, and a correcting unit which corrects the band-like unevenness in the image based on the correction amount.

The image processing unit includes: a first setting unit setting a value of a first adjusting parameter for white balance adjustment applied to an image of a subject; a calculation unit calculating a deviation in the balance of a color signal when an area of the image detected by achromatic color detection is subjected to white balance adjustment with the first adjusting parameter; and a second setting unit setting the as-is value of the first adjusting parameter as a second adjusting parameter when the deviation is equal to or more than a threshold value, correcting the value of the first adjusting parameter in a direction of reducing the deviation and setting it as the second adjusting parameter when the deviation is less than the threshold value.

An electronic camera of the present invention has an image pickup part, an ambient light colorimetric part, an operation member, a colorimetric calculation part, and a white balance adjustment part. The image pickup part captures an optical image through a photo-taking lens to generate color image data. The ambient light colorimetric part measures color of ambient light without passing through the photo-taking lens. The operation member receives an instruction for the colorimetric timing of ambient light from a user. The colorimetric calculation part obtains the colorimetric result from the ambient light colorimetric part in synchronization with the colorimetric timing, and calculates and stores color gain bringing the colorimetric result near to achromatic color. The white balance adjustment part performs white balance adjustment of image data in accordance with the stored color gain. The structure of the electric camera like this allows preset white balance to be executed in freer timing.

Electronic camera having white balance function

An electronic camera controls an imaging section to generate a test image without flash and a main image with flash. Then, the electronic camera judges correlation between histogram distributions of the test image and the main image. If the correlation between the histogram distributions is low, the electronic camera judges that the flash illumination is uneven and performs white balance adjustments, placing greater importance on the color temperature of the flash. Conversely, if the correlation between the histogram distributions is high, the electronic camera judges that the flash illumination is uniform and performs white balance adjustments, placing greater importance on the color temperature of the main image.

The invention relates to an electronic camera and a white balance correction circuit both capable of setting white balance correction values properly at stroboscope imaging by relatively simple processing. The electronic camera has a stroboscope unit or a connection terminal to a stroboscope unit; an imaging unit for capturing an image of a subject; a calculating unit for calculating, from the image captured with double illumination of both field light and strobe light emitted by the stroboscope unit, the color temperature of the double illumination; and a reflection unit for allowing the calculated color temperature to be reflected in white balance correction values to be applied to the image. When the calculated color temperature is in a predetermined range, the reflection unit decreases the degree of the reflection.

The present invention provides an image processing unit capable of differentiating two images with a difference which the user expects to see, an imaging processing method thereof, and an image processing program thereof. The image processing unit of the present invention includes: a histogram creation unit for creating a color histogram of each image obtained by an imaging sensor; a correlation calculation unit for comparing the color histogram of a processing object image to be subjected to predetermined processing with the color histogram of a comparison object image obtained prior to the processing object image, to calculate the color correlation between these images; and a decision unit for deciding a parameter to be used for the predetermined processing according to the calculated correlation.

An image processing system can obtain images exhibiting colors desired by a user, while minimizing his/her efforts required for edit operations. The image processing system includes an imaging device and an information-processing device. The information-processing device includes: an input unit inputting, from the exterior, information indicative of a type of color transformation processing desired by the user; a parameter-creating unit that refers to the input information to create at least one parameter necessary for providing the color transformation processing to image data; and a transmitting unit transmitting information of the created parameter to the exterior. The imaging device includes: a receiving unit receiving the information of the parameter from the exterior; a storage unit storing the received information of the parameter; and a setting unit that refers to the information stored in the storage unit to perform a setting necessary for the color transformation processing using the parameter.

An image-capturing device includes: an image-capturing element that captures a subject image passing through a photographic lens and outputs an image-capturing signal; a chromaticity detection device that detects a chromaticity of the subject; a light source estimating device that estimates a type of light source illuminating the subject based upon the chromaticity detected by the chromaticity detection device; a gain calculating device that calculates a gain by using color temperature information corresponding to the light source type estimated by the light source estimating device; and a gain adjustment device that performs a gain adjustment by multiplying the image-capturing signal output by the image-capturing element by the gain calculated by the gain calculating device.
