An ink refill container includes a container main body including an ink storage chamber, an ink outlet-forming portion provided on an end portion of the container main body forming an ink outlet that allows the ink to flow out from the ink storage chamber, and a valve provided in the ink outlet-forming portion configured to openably seal the ink outlet, in which the ink outlet-forming portion includes a positioning portion on an outer side of the ink outlet-forming portion. in which the positioning portion is closer to the container main body than the valve is to the container main body in a central axis direction of the ink outlet, and in which the positioning portion partially abuts against an ink tank when the valve is opened for refilling the ink to the ink tank, to thereby position the valve relative to the ink tank.

Ink refill container, ink refill system, and ink refill adapter

There is provided a technique of improving the mounting position of a liquid container relative to a liquid ejection device. The liquid container configured to be mountable to and dismountable from a case of the liquid ejection device includes a bag-like member that has flexibility and that includes a containing portion provided to contain a liquid inside thereof; and connection member that is located at an end of the bag-like member. The connection member includes a liquid outlet configured such that a liquid introducing element of the liquid ejection device is inserted in the liquid outlet; a container-side electrical connecting structure configured such that a device-side electrical connecting structure of the liquid ejection device is connected with the container-side electrical connecting structure; and two guided elements configured such that at least respective parts of two guide elements of the case are fitted in the two guided elements in a state that the liquid container is placed in the case. In a mounting state that the liquid container is mounted to the liquid ejection device, the liquid outlet is located between the two guided elements, and the container-side electrical connecting structure is located between one of the two guided elements and the liquid outlet.

Liquid container

An ink refill containerincludes a container main bodyincluding an ink storage chamber, an ink outlet-forming portionprovided on an end portion of the container main body forming an ink outletthat allows the ink to flow out from the ink storage chamber, and a valveprovided in the ink outlet-forming portion configured to openably seal the ink outlet, in which the ink outlet-forming portion includes a positioning portionon an outer side of the ink outlet-forming portion. in which the positioning portionis closer to the container main body than the valveis to the container main body in a central axis direction of the ink outlet, and in which the positioning portion partially abuts against an ink tank-when the valve is opened for refilling the ink to the ink tank, to thereby position the valve relative to the ink tank.

A bottle set includes a bottle and a lid member. The bottle has an ink container, a nozzle and a joint portion integrally formed with the nozzle and having a thread configured to engage the nozzle with the ink container. The lid member is attachable to and detachable from the bottle. An outflow port is formed in the nozzle. The outflow port is configured such that the ink in the ink container flows out from the outflow port. The lid member has a tubular barrel, a top plate that closes a barrel end of the tubular barrel, and a plug projecting from the top plate toward the nozzle. A distance from the barrel end of the tubular barrel to a distal end of the plug being shorter than a distance from a nozzle end of the nozzle to the joint portion.

Bottle set

The liquid container is detachable from a case of a liquid ejection apparatus. The liquid container has a bag-shaped member that is flexible and has a storage portion for storing a liquid therein, and a connection member attached to the bag-shaped member. The connection member has a liquid introducing outlet into which a liquid introducing portion of the liquid ejection apparatus is inserted, a container-side electrical connection unit to which an apparatus-side electrical connection unit of the liquid ejection apparatus is connected, and a handle that pivots with respect to the connection member. In a state where the liquid container is arranged in the case, the handle is provided at a position exposed to the outside of the case, and when the liquid container is mounted to/removed from the case, the handle is brought into a second orientation in which the handle is pivoted from a first orientation.

It is difficult to reduce the number of parts of a known bottle set. A bottle set includes: a bottle having an ink container capable of containing ink, and a nozzle through which the ink in the ink container can flow out; and a lid member that is attachable to and detachable from the bottle, and can cover the nozzle in a state where the lid member is attached to the bottle. An outflow port from which the ink in the ink container can flow out is formed in the nozzle, the lid member has a sealing portion that seals the outflow port in a state where the lid member is attached to the bottle, and the sealing portion is integrally formed in the lid member.

A liquid jet apparatus comprises a liquid jet head, a carriage carrying the liquid jet head in a side-to-side direction, a liquid flow channel, and a liquid container in fluid communication with the liquid jet head through the liquid flow channel. The liquid container includes a liquid containing chamber arranged along a front/back direction orthogonal to the side-to-side direction; a liquid outlet port, from which the liquid contained in the liquid containing chamber flows to the liquid flow channel; and a liquid inlet port, through which the liquid is injected into the liquid containing chamber. The liquid inlet port has an end surface that does not face in a vertical direction relative to a normal posture of the apparatus.

There is provided a recording apparatus including a recording head that can eject an ink onto a sheet, a transport unit that transports the sheet to the recording head, a housing that contains the recording head and the transport unit, a case that is arranged on an outer surface of the housing so that the bottom portion thereof is positioned higher than a bottom surface of the housing, and that serves as a holder which holds an ink container containing an ink, and a supply unit that supplies the ink from the ink container to the recording head.

Recording apparatus

A liquid container includes an ink chamber containing an ink to be supplied via a tube to a liquid ejecting head consuming the ink; an outlet port from which the ink contained in the ink chamber flows to the tube side; an injection port through which the ink can be injected into the ink chamber; and an air intake port taking air into the ink chamber from a further vertically upper position than a liquid level of the ink when the ink is contained in the ink chamber. If the ink equal to 5% of containing capacity containable in the ink chamber flows from the outlet port, the liquid container has an area where a fluctuation range of the liquid level of the ink inside the ink chamber becomes 5% or less of the cubic root of the containing capacity.
