A dimple-forming burnishing tool allowing easy adjustment of a dimple shape is provided. The dimple-forming burnishing tool has a mandrel attached on a rear-end side thereof to a processing machine for rotation, and a cylindrical frame rotatably externally fitted on a tip side of the mandrel and holding a rolling element and a pressing element that are driven by rotation of the mandrel, for forming dimples in an inner surface of a workpiece by rotating the mandrel with the frame disposed inside the inner surface of the workpiece. In the dimple-forming burnishing tool, the mandrel includes a dimple adjusting mechanism. The dimple adjusting mechanism includes: a rolling element rotating portion causing the rolling element to rotate without moving in and out radially of the frame; and a pressing element in-and-out rotating portion causing the pressing element to rotate while moving in and out radially of the frame.

A tube expanding device includes: a plurality of rollers each having a tapered portion whose diameter increases toward its front side; a cylindrical expander frame for freely rotatably holding the plurality of rollers on a concentric circle; a mandrel inserted in the expander frame so as to be freely slidable and rotatable relative to the expander frame, and having a tapered portion whose diameter decreases toward its front side, the tapered portion of the mandrel matching the tapered portion of each roller; a drive device coupled to the expander frame and rotating the expander frame; and a moving device for moving the mandrel forward and backward relative to the expander frame. By moving the mandrel forward relative to the expander frame, the tapered portion of the mandrel abuts on the tapered portions of the plurality of rollers and thereby expands a diameter of a circumscribed circle formed by the plurality of rollers.

A throw-away burnishing tool for an outside diameter includes: a tool holder having a rectilinear I-shaped portion and a protrusion portion; a hard material tip detachably attached to a tip holder; a holder pin connected to the tip holder and accommodated in the protrusion portion of the tool holder, the holder pin having an oblong aperture in the form of a through-hole extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to an axis of the holder pin; an urging means internally inserted into the holder pin and urging the holder pin; an urging force adjustment means for adjusting an urging force generated by the urging means; and a parallel pin supported at both ends by the tool holder and passing through the oblong aperture, wherein the parallel pin guides a movement of the holder pin along the oblong aperture.
