A display device for a vehicle includes a liquid crystal display device including a display surface for displaying an image; and an optical system including a reflecting surface, and forming an optical path of display light from the display surface toward an eye point of a vehicle. The optical system includes a first reflecting surface placed closest to the display surface in the optical path of the display light, and a magnifying reflecting surface that magnifies and reflects the display light. When viewed from an image horizontal direction, the display surface is inclined toward an optical axis of the display light extending from the display surface toward the first reflecting surface. The optical system is configured so that a width of the optical path of the display light in an image vertical direction is reduced, gradually from the display surface toward the first reflecting surface.

Display device for vehicle

A vehicular display device includes: an emitting portion; a reflection portion configured to reflect the display light that is emitted from the emitting portion and is subjected to crossing, to a display surface such that the display light is reflected from the display surface to a previously defined eye point; and a casing including: an inner case; and a lower case housing the inner case inside, in which the inner case includes an inner wall part facing a focal area on which external light reflected from the reflection portion after being incident on the reflection portion from outside the casing focuses, the lower case includes a lower wall part located along the inner wall part, and the casing has a heat-discharge structure of conducting heat from the inner wall part to the lower wall part to discharge the heat outward.

Vehicular display device

A projection display device includes a display device, an optical system, and a shielding plate. The optical system includes a first mirror and a second mirror provided on the regular optical path, the second mirrors being to provide an optical path convergence point on the regular optical path, and the first mirrors being provided at a position corresponding to the optical path convergence point. The projection display device is configured such that a position of a mirror surface of the first mirror and the second mirror is adjustable in accordance with a position of an eye point of a user so as to project the light toward the projection position that corresponds to the position of the eye point. The shielding plate is provided such that the shieling plate does not interfere with the regular optical path and such that the shielding plate interferes with the different optical path.

Projection display device

In a vehicle display device, in a case of displaying an outside information virtual image in a right monocular viewing region and a left monocular viewing region, a controller performs a display image control for a display image displayed by an image projection unit by using a viewability display form with a more excellent viewability than in a case of displaying the outside information virtual image in a binocular viewing region. In a case of displaying the outside information virtual image in the binocular viewing region, the controller performs a display image control by using the identifiability display form that provides a more excellent recognizability of the outside information virtual image for the driver than in a case of displaying the outside information virtual image in the right monocular viewing region and the left monocular viewing region.

Vehicle display device

A vehicle display device includes a projection device including a light-transmitting image display unit displaying an image, a light source emitting light to the image display unit from a back surface side or a front surface side, and a light-shielding cover disposed on a front surface of the image display unit and including an opening. The projection device projects an image onto a reflection unit disposed in front of an occupant in a vehicle. When the projection device is viewed from the front surface side, a shape of the opening is a shape similar to a shape of an image display region in the image display unit, and the opening is separated from an outer edge of the image display region and surrounds the image display region.

A head-up display includes a display device and a combiner that has a rear surface brought into contact with an inner surface of a windshield of a vehicle, and reflects a display light rays emitted from the display device by a front surface of the combiner toward a driver in the vehicle. A vehicular display device includes a display unit that displays visible information and a light projection unit that guides light including the visible information displayed on the display unit to a predetermined projection surface, and displaying the visible information as a virtual image. The vehicular display device includes a guide display unit and a guide display control unit. The guide display unit indicates a relationship between at least positions of a first display region in which the virtual image is displayed by projection of the light projection unit and a second display region in which detailed information is displayed. The detailed information has an association with a content of particular information that is displayed on the display unit under a predetermined condition. The guide display control unit controls the guide display unit into a display state when the particular information is displayed on the display unit.

An object of the present invention is to provide a design-superposing display apparatus for superposing a design above a part of a display surface of a display device.
