The present invention is to provide a media processing apparatus for enabling a plurality of discharge sections disposed one side of the apparatus to be disposed parallel inside saved space, the media processing apparatus is provided with a plurality of discharge sections (correct card discharge section and error card discharge section) disposed on one side of an apparatus housing, and a discharge member (card reverse section) that discharges a card C to each discharge section. In such a card processing apparatus, a width dimension (length dimension in the discharge direction of the card) of a discharge stacker of the first card discharge section is wider than a width dimension of the card C, and a width dimension of a frame body of the error card discharge section is narrower than the width dimension of the card C.

When the preheating treatment is performed using the transfer roller, the transfer film exists between the transport roller and the recording medium, and by shifting the position of the transfer film during the preheating treatment, it is possible to suppress thermal damage to the transfer film without applying heat of the transfer roller to only a part of the transfer film excessively.

A transfer apparatus for heating a recording medium and a transfer film with a transfer member and a transfer platen transferring an image includes a transfer film transport member, a recording medium transport member, a peeling member peeling off the transfer film, a support member supporting the transfer surface of the recording medium, and a bracket. A recording medium contact point of the peeling member is set in the same position as a first tangent passing through a recording medium contact point of the transfer member and a contact of the recording medium of a transport member and a recording medium contact point of the support member is set in the same position as a second tangent passing through the recording medium contact point of the transfer member and the recording medium contact point of the peeling member or on the transfer platen side relative to the second tangent.

Transfer apparatus

A sheet transport apparatus that transports a sheet to a reading section for reading the sheet, has a reading front roller pair contacting with a front end of the sheet to form a register loop in the sheet; a first transport path extending curvingly toward the reading front roller pair; a second transport path extending curvingly toward the reading front roller pair after joining the first transport path; a first register space in which a register loop is formed in a sheet guided along the first transport path; and a second register space in which a register loop is formed in a sheet guided along the second transport path. The first register space is provided on the upstream side of a junction position in which the first transport path joins the second transport path, and the second register space is provided on the downstream side of the junction position.

Sheet transport apparatus

A sheet transport apparatus for transporting a sheet along a transport path has a sheet transport mechanism having a plurality of transport rollers for transporting a sheet; and a jam clearing mechanism for removing the sheet, when the sheet causes a transport failure and is jammed on the transport path. The jam clearing mechanism has a coupling member coupled to a transport roller, a jam clearing dial that transfers a rotation force to the transport roller through the coupling member, and a switching device for switching so that the coupling member separates from the transport roller in transporting a sheet, while being coupled to the transport roller in clearing a jam.

A sheet conveying device includes a conveying path along which a sheet is conveyed. First and second conveying roller pairs are arranged on the conveying path at a predetermined distance from each other. Overlapping conveyance sensing devices are located between the first and second conveying roller pairs and include opposing transmission device and reception device. A distance between the first and second conveying roller pairs is shorter than a length of a minimum size sheet in a conveying direction. In the conveying path between the conveying roller pairs, guide members are disposed to sandwich the transmission device and reception device. The guide members are configured to project upward or downward from a sheet conveying line by a predetermined amount with respect to the conveying path, the sheet conveying line extending through nip points of the first and second conveying roller pairs.

Image reading apparatus

A document feeding device includes an upstream guide member that forms an upstream side of a document conveying path along which a document is guided from a sheet feeding tray to a platen, and a downstream guide member located between the upstream guide member and the platen. The document feeding device has a guide moving mechanism that slidably moves the downstream guide member away from an opposite guide member located opposite the downstream guide member upon a pivoting operation of the upstream guide member. Consequently, even if the document conveyed toward the platen is, for example, inappropriately conveyed to cause jamming, the document can be easily removed without being damaged.

Document feeding device and document reading apparatus with opening upstream and downstream guide members

A sheet transport apparatus includes a transport path for transporting a sheet, and drive and follower roller units disposed in the transport path. The drive roller unit has a drive shaft and at least two drive rollers arranged on the drive shaft in a direction perpendicular to a sheet transport direction. The follower roller unit has a follower shaft and at least two follower rollers contacting the at least two drive rollers. An urging device is attached to the follower shaft for pressing the at least two follower rollers to the at least two drive rollers in a direction with a predetermined angle with respect to the drive shaft.

Sheet feeding apparatus and image reading apparatus equipped with the same

A sheet supplying apparatus includes a sheet feeding stacker for storing the sheet; a sheet discharging stacker arranged in parallel to the sheet feeding stacker in a vertical direction for storing the sheet; a U-shape conveying path disposed between the sheet feeding stacker to the sheet discharging stacker for guiding the sheet from the sheet feeding stacker to the sheet discharging stacker; a processing platen disposed in the conveying path for processing the sheet; a separating device for separating the sheet on the sheet feeding stacker; a register device for temporarily stopping the sheet and conveying the sheet; a sheet feeding device for conveying the sheet; and a sheet conveying device for conveying the sheet. A sheet discharging device discharges the sheet to the sheet discharging stacker, and an idle roller is disposed in the U-shape conveying path for contacting the sheet to rotate.
