Provided is a temperature control system applied to an apparatus for analyzing a sample using a pipette nozzle and a reaction container, including a pipette tip temperature controller that heats a pipette tip which is fitted on the pipette nozzle and aspirates or discharges liquid and a reaction container temperature controller that heats the reaction container. The pipette tip temperature controller heats, in a concentrated manner, at least a distal end portion of the pipette tip of the pipette nozzle located at a predetermined heating position with hot air emitted from a heat source and is configured such that a distal end is capable of arriving at the reaction container by lowering the pipette nozzle from the heating position.

An analysis method for detecting an amount of a substance by irradiating an analysis chip containing the substance and detecting a quantity of light output from the analysis chip. The analysis method including irradiating an incident surface of the analysis chip and another surface adjacent to the incident surface with detection light while changing a relative position of the detection light with respect to the analysis chip, detecting reflected light from the incident surface of the analysis chip, and acquiring information on a position of the analysis chip from a relationship between a quantity of the reflected light detected and the relative position. The analysis method determines if the analysis chip is abnormal when a quantity of target reflected light is equal to or lower than a predetermined light quantity.

Presently disclosed is a way to provide a measuring device capable of easily detecting measurement abnormality without increasing load in hardware. The measuring device may include: an emission means that may emit light to a measurement target region; a light measurement means that may measure light output from the measurement target region by emission with the emission means; a driving means that may move a position of at least one of the measurement target region and the emission means; and a determination means that may compare measurement values of the light measured a plurality of times by the light measurement means while changing positions of the measurement target region by the driving means and thereby determines abnormality of a measurement result. The determination means may determine measurement abnormality in a case where a reference measurement value being a measurement value obtained for a first time is lower than a comparison measurement value being a highest measurement value among measurement values obtained for second and subsequent times.

By irradiating a sensor chip including an analyte labeled with a fluorescent substance with excitation light from an excitation light irradiation unit for emitting the excitation light using a specimen detector including the excitation light irradiation unit and a fluorescence detection unit for detecting fluorescence, fluorescence emitted from the fluorescent substance is detected by the fluorescence detection unit. When the analyte is detected on the basis of a detection value depending on the intensity of the detected fluorescence, a corrected detection value is calculated by correcting the detection value using individual difference information acquired in advance on the basis of an individual difference between the specimen detectors and a correction coefficient for each sensor chip.

Disclosed is a reaction method that includes a reaction process using a pipette tip to allow substances to cause a reaction, the method including: providing a heater for heating the pipette tip in accordance with a preset temperature; attaching the pipette tip to a pipette nozzle and heating the pipette tip by a first preset temperature; when a period of heating by the first preset temperature exceeds a preset period, switching an output of the heater from the first preset temperature to a lower second preset temperature; detecting a distal end position of the pipette tip at or after the switching; and executing the reaction process while controlling the distal end position of the pipette tip with reference to the detected distal end position, in which the temperature of the pipette tip is kept by the second preset temperature at least until operation of the pipette tip.

Reaction method

A pipette tip leading end detection device for detecting that a leading end of a pipette tip is close to a reference surface set to a reaction vessel includes a pipette nozzle, pump, nozzle driver, pressure sensor that detects a pressure generated between the pipette tip and pump, and hardware processor. The hardware processor obtains a determination value using an AD conversion value obtained from the pressure while the pipette nozzle is being lowered, and detects that the leading end of the pipette tip is close to the reference surface on the basis that the determination value is a threshold value or more. The determination value is a calculation value indicating a pressure change speed calculated from AD conversion values within a past certain time and the threshold value is a value larger than maximum noise.

A measurement chip including a prism, a metal film, and a capturing body is prepared. In a state in which a specimen is present on the metal film, scattered light obtained when first light which passes through the metal film and the specimen is scattered in the specimen when the first light is applied to the metal film from a prism side at a first incident angle smaller than a critical angle is detected. In a state in which a substance to be measured is captured by the capturing body and the specimen is not present on the metal film, a signal indicating an amount of the substance to be measured generated in the measurement chip when second light is applied to the metal film at a second incident angle not smaller than the critical angle from the prism side is detected. On the basis of a hematocrit value of the specimen determined from a light amount of the scattered light, a measurement value indicating the amount of the substance to be measured determined from the signal is corrected.

To provide an inspection system capable of performing a target biological reaction under temperature conditions suitable for the reaction even with reciprocal liquid feeding. An inspection system including at least: a sensor chip with a flow path having a reaction site for performing biological reactions; a liquid feeder that causes reaction liquid to flow into and out of the flow path; and a first temperature adjuster that adjusts temperature of reaction liquid flowed in the flow path, where the system performs reciprocal liquid feeding by the liquid feeder where some of the reaction liquid flowed in the flow path is caused to flow out of the flow path and to flow in again. A specimen containing a substance to be measured is introduced into a flow path of a measurement chip including a flow path which is a cavity for accommodating liquid and a reflecting unit which specularly reflects light which passes through the flow path so as to pass through the flow path again and a measurement value indicating an amount of the substance to be measured in the specimen is acquired. Then, second light acquired when first light including light of a wavelength absorbed by a red blood cell passes through the specimen in the flow path, is reflected by the reflecting unit, and passes through the specimen in the flow path again is detected in a state in which the specimen is present in the flow path. Next, a hematocrit value of the specimen is determined on the basis of a detection result of the second light. Next, a measurement value is corrected on the basis of the hematocrit value.

Measurement method, measurement apparatus, and measurement system

A light irradiation angle is set with respect to a first surface so as to detect only either first reflected light or second reflected light. Then, light is emitted from a light irradiation part at the set irradiation angle while a detection chip is kept in motion, either the first reflected light or the second reflected light is detected by a reflected light detection part, and positional information of the detection chip is acquired on the basis of the result of the detection of the first or second reflected light. The detection chip is moved, on the basis of the acquired positional information, to a detection position where detection of a substance to be detected is performed. An optical sample detection system includes: a sensor chip including a dielectric member, a metal film adjacent to an upper surface of the dielectric member, a reaction layer adjacent to an upper surface of the metal film, and a lid member disposed on an upper surface of the reaction layer; a chip holding unit for holding the sensor chip; and a light projecting unit that irradiates the metal film with excitation light through the dielectric member.
