An excavation control system includes a global coordinate computing device, a prediction correcting part, a cutting edge position data generating part, and a designed terrain data generating part. The global coordinate computing device generates revolving unit orientation data (Q) that indicates an orientation of a revolving unit. The prediction correcting part generates corrected revolving unit orientation data (R) by predictively correcting the revolving unit orientation data (Q) based on a delay time (t) and revolve angle speed data (D&#x3c9;) that indicates a revolve angle speed (&#x3c9;) of the revolving unit. The cutting edge position data generating part generates cutting edge position data (S) that indicates a position of a cutting edge based on reference position data (P1), the revolving unit orientation data (Q), and the corrected revolving unit orientation data (R). The designed terrain data generating part generates designed terrain data (U) based on the cutting edge position data (S) and stereoscopic designed terrain data (T).

A server () enables users (A-B) sharing the same working machine () to mutually monitor a usage state by each user. The server () receives a user ID, the working time, the engine cooling water temperature, and the current position that are detected in the working machine () through a satellite communication network, and calculates the usage time, the usage location, the load amount, and a usage proportion for each user. The server () sends a warning to the user terminalswhen the usage time or location is not as planned, or the load amount is excessive. The server () periodically reports the usage times and locations, the load amounts, and the usage proportions for the users (A-B) to the user terminals (). A device for improving the workability and drivability of a tracked vehicle whose blade height is automatically controlled, in which when changeover of a speed step from reverse to forward is detected by a transmission lever position detector (3), a controller (15) controls to raise or lower the blade (8) to a target value which is the height of the blade (8) initially set by an initial height setter (4). With a blade raising lever (1) operated, the blade (8) is controlled to rise or lower in proportion to the height of the blade during manual operation. The height is detected by a blade-height detector (14) and the blade is controlled to rise or lower to a target value which is the detected value of height.

A device for controlling the height of a blade of a tracked vehicle includes a blade height position detector, a blade height controller for raising and lowering the blade, and a device for setting an initial height of the blade. When the transmission of the vehicle is shifted from the reverse to the forward position, the height of the blade is lowered to the target value. A switch selects between the target value set by the initial height setting device and a manually selected height depending whether or not the switching device selects the automatic operation or manual operation of the blade height controller.

The control device for an earthwork machine according to the invention is designed for reducing the manufacturing cost of the earthwork machine by eliminating some of the calculating circuitry and the control circuitry. According to the control device, one of the cylinders necessary for carrying out straight excavation is directly manually controlled without using calculating circuitry, and the operations of the cylinders are respectively detected by detecting circuitry. The other two cylinders are also controlled by the arithmetic unit provided in the control device for performing calculation necessary to move the sharp edge of the bucket along a straight line of predetermined inclination in accordance with detected pivoted angles of the boom, arm and bucket.

An automatic control device for an earth working equipment is directed to remove influence of acceleration on an inclinometer mounted on a vehicle body and thereby to effect an accurate blade control. An acceleration compensation arithmatic circuit receives outputs of a pair of inclinometer and removes an acceleration component by performing integration twice. This circuit is also designed to remove an integration error. Further, according to the invention, a Doppler radar system and an engine speed/throttle opening system are employed for detection of overload applied to the blade so that one of the detection systems which is most suitable for an actual work can be selected. Furthermore, the device includes both blade height controllers and tilt controllers and performs the two control operations most effectively. Response characteristics are improved by conducting the tilt control within a time interval during which the bade is in a holding state which time interval occurs in the control operation by the blade height controller.

Automatic control device for an earth working equipment

An unmanned conveying control system capable of conveying a load between a base position such as a gateway of a warehouse or a predetermined position in a manufacture line in a factory and a storage place in the warehouse or factory as well as loading and unloading of the load in such base position and storage place completely automatically and without an operator. A load conveying way is defined by leader cables along which an unmanned travelling vehicle is guided. Leader cables are provided along load storage lines (lanes) in the warehouse or factory and a central control unit gives out load storage and load delivery instructions and applies a guide signal only to a lane in which the vehicle should be guided. The vehicle detects the state of the load placed in front of the vehicle and transfers the load from the vehicle to a required layer of a stacked load when the vehicle has received the load storage instruction, or from a required layer to the vehicle when it has received the load delivery instruction. The loading and unloading operations of the vehicle and forward and reverse movements and stopping of the vehicle required for such loading and unloading operations are all performed automatically.

In a civil machine comprising a working tool provided on a vehicle with a travelling mechanism and a drive therefor, an automatic control system comprises a stroke detector for detecting the amount of stroke of a lifting cylinder operating to move the working tool up and down, an inclination angle detector for detecting the inclination angle of the vehicle, an arithmetic unit for obtaining data representative of the height of the working tool from the detection signals of the two detectors, and a control for operating the lifting cylinder by using the data to control the position of the working tool with high accuracy.
