A speed-increasing and accumulating conveyor chain includes a large-diameter mounting roller and small-diameter traveling rollers that are loosely fitted concentrically around a connecting pin through over an oil-impregnated sintered oil bushing concentrically. A lubricating oil is gradually discharged from the oil-impregnated sintered bushing, so that the chain can travel with a small chain-driving force as a whole while stably maintaining low friction coefficients at the loosely fitted portions between the connecting pin, the bushing, the mounting roller and the traveling rollers. The chain can, therefore, perform the speed-increasing function and the accumulating function by means of the mounting roller and the traveling rollers.

Speed-increasing and accumulating conveyor chain

A conveyor chain using an oil impregnated sintered bushing is provided. The conveyor chain using the oil impregnated bushing is high in durability and low in manufacturing cost. A roller is rotatably fitted over the oil impregnated sintered bushing of the conveyor chain. An abrasion loss of the outer peripheral surface of the oil impregnated sintered bushing and an abrasion loss of the inner peripheral surface of the roller are reduced. Furthermore, both sliding noises and burning, which are normally generated between the roller and the oil impregnated sintered bushing, can be prevented. The conveyor chain, which uses an oil impregnated sintered bushing including a roller rotatably fitted over the oil impregnated sintered bushing, is characterized in that the oil impregnated sintered bushing has a sintering density in the range of from approximately 6.0 g/cm.sup.3 to 7.1 g/cm.sup.3. The conveyor chain is further characterized in that at least an inner peripheral surface of the roller is in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the oil impregnated sintered bushing and the outer peripheral surface of the oil impregnated bushing is formed of resin.

Conveyor chain using an oil impregnated sintered bushing

A conveyor chain having a hollow roller housing (15), an annular series of cylindrical rollers (14A and 14B) therein providing rotation of the hollow roller on an internal bushing (13). Alternate cylindrical rollers (14A) have a pair of cylindrical roller separating retaining rings (17) rotatably fitted over both ends. Intermediate cylindrical rollers (14B) have no cylindrical roller separating retaining rings (17). The retaining rings (17) on the alternate rollers (14A) engage the intermediate cylindrical rollers (14B). The cylindrical bearing surfaces (13A, 15A) are sandwiched between the retaining rings at each end of the rollers (14A) and project toward the outer circumferential surfaces of the cylindrical rollers (14A and 14B). The roller (15) and the bushing (13) have recessed surfaces (15A and 13A) which are spaced from the outer and inner circumferential surfaces of the retaining rings (17).

A checker-arm chain lubricating apparatus is provided that efficiently and surely performs lubrication on a small-size chain and a chain traveling at high speeds. When a checker arm, oscillated by a chain, is returned by the force of a return spring, a cam face of a plunger activating cam fixed to a cam shaft together with the checker-arm operates a plunger of a pump unit via a cam follower to jet lubricant from a lubricating nozzle to the chain. The above-mentioned cam face is formed at a position radially deviated from the center of the cam shaft and the normal direction of the cam face is at generally right angles to the axis of the cam shaft. Consequently, the plunger can be rapidly operated by a small oscillation angle of the checker arm and efficient lubrication in synchronization with chain travel can be performed by a small amount of lubricant jetted from the lubricating nozzle at high speeds.

Checker-arm chain lubricating apparatus

An oilless antifriction bearing capable of supporting a large load, not requiring maintenance work for lubrication and having high durability comprises an outer ring (1) having an outer-ring race, an inner ring (2) having an inner-ring race, a plurality of metallic rolling elements (3), and a plurality of polyethylene rolling elements (4). The plurality of metallic rolling elements (3) and the plurality of polyethylene rolling elements (4) are arranged circumferentially alternately in the space between the outer-ring race of the outer ring (1) and the inner ring race of the inner ring (2). The polyethylene rolling elements (4) are interposed between the metallic rolling elements (3) to prevent the direct contact between the metallic rolling elements (3), making lubrication unnecessary. The polyethylene rolling elements allow free foreign matter including abrasive particles produced by the abrasion of the unlubricated steel cylindrical rollers and external dust particles to become embedded in the polyethylene to entrap the free foreign matter.

A conveyor chain having a large diameter load-carrying roller and a small diameter running roller coaxially mounted on a connecting pin which alternately connects an inner link plate with an outer link plate, a cover mounted on said link plate of a configuration to cover a gap between adjacent load-carrying rollers and a gap between adjacent running rollers preventing entrance of foreign matter. Included are chain covers covering sideways the inner and outer link plates and travelling rollers of the conveyor chain, and gap covers for preventing entrance of foreign substances which covers the gap between adjacent loading rollers and also covers the gap between adjacent travelling rollers. The gap covers have a projection portion in a position between adjacent loading rollers having a surface which is lower than an outside diameter of the loading rollers and higher than lower surfaces of the chain covers.

An acceleration accumulation chain conveyor, having a link/pin chain for driving rollers along rails, the conveyor comprising: support rollers rotatably loosely fitted over the pins, each support roller having a larger diameter portion with a rim for engaging conveyed articles and side faces, and annular bosses of smaller diameter projecting axially from the side faces, the bosses having inner peripheral surfaces for frictionally engaging the pins and outer peripheral surfaces; and, chain rollers rotatably loosely fitted on the bosses, the chain rollers having inner peripheral surfaces for frictionally engaging the outer peripheral surfaces of the bosses, outer peripheral surfaces for engaging the rails and side faces for frictionally engaging the side faces of the support rollers, one of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the chain rollers being tapered to direct a component of force urging the chain rollers inwardly to enable frictional engagement between the respective side faces and the outer peripheral surfaces of the bosses being shaped to conform to the inner peripheral surfaces of the chain rollers, whereby the frictional engagement between the chain and support rollers is substantially increased.
