A power transmission mechanism including an operation unit, a drive source, and a gear train mechanism including a plurality of power transmission gears of which rotation centers are arranged in a staggered pattern as viewed from the axial direction. The gear train mechanism includes a first gear located most downstream in the power transmission direction, a second gear that engages with the first gear, and a dummy gear that does not have a function of transmitting power. The dummy gear engages with the first gear and has a rotation center arranged in a staggered pattern with respect to the first gear and the second gear as viewed from the axial direction.

Power transmission mechanism and liquid ejecting device

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a carriage unit including a liquid ejecting head and reciprocating in a scanning direction; a liquid container; and a tube supplying liquid sent from the liquid container to the carriage unit. When the carriage unit moves, in a case in which one direction is referred to as a first direction and another direction is referred to as a second direction, the tube extends from the liquid container in the second direction, forms a curved portion curving toward upstream in a transport direction of a medium, is folded back in the first direction, and is coupled to the carriage unit. The carriage unit includes a space that expands in the transport direction upstream of an area in which a portion extending from a coupling start point of the tube toward the curved portion is displaced in accordance with movement of the carriage unit.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a transport mechanism which transports a medium in a transport direction, a carriage configured to reciprocally move in scanning directions which intersect the transport direction, a liquid ejecting head which is installed on the carriage, and a tube through which the liquid supplied from a liquid storage container to the liquid ejecting head passes. The liquid ejecting apparatus further includes a holding section which holds a waste liquid storage body configured to store a waste liquid. The tube includes a movable portion which forms a curved portion which curves toward downstream in the transport direction and which causes a formation position of the curved portion to move and a fixed portion which is not movable. The holding section is disposed between the fixed portion and a scanning region of the carriage in the transport direction.

When one of directions in which a carriage moves is a first scanning direction, and the other one of the directions is a second scanning direction, a tube extends in the first scanning direction, is bent in the second scanning direction with a curved portion, and is coupled to the carriage. The tube has a first portion, which is an immovable portion that does not move as the carriage reciprocates, and a second portion, which is a movable portion that moves as the carriage reciprocates. The first portion is fixed to a mounting plate, which is an example of a fixing section, the tube and a supporting member are held together by a holding member, and the mounting plate has a stepped portion, which is an example of a contact preventing portion configured to prevent contact with the holding member holding the movable portion of the tube.

Recording apparatus

A medium processing apparatus includes a processing section performing a process on a sheet-like medium; a transport roller pair including a driving roller and a driven roller, and transporting the medium in a transport path including a region in which the processing section performs a process; a first casing accommodating the processing section and the transport roller pair; a second casing configured to close and open with respect to the first casing; and a displacement mechanism displacing the transport roller pair to a separation position and a contact position. The displacement mechanism displaces the transport roller pair from the contact position to the separation position in conjunction with an operation of opening the second casing.

Medium processing apparatus

A recording apparatus has a carriage in which a head unit including a recording head is disposed. By turning the head unit within the carriage about a pivot that extends in a direction intersecting a head surface, the angle of the recording head is adjusted while maintaining good contact between a data storage unit included in an ink cartridge and a contact terminal included in the carriage.

A recording apparatus for which it is easy to release a lock of a carriage and perform maintenance.

A multi-function peripheral includes: a recording unit having a carriage for recording which supports and moves a recording head for performing recording on a recording medium; and an image reading unit having a carriage for reading which supports and moves a reading sensor for reading an image and a driving source which is mounted in the carriage for reading in order to move the carriage for reading. The carriage for reading moves above the carriage for recording, and the driving source of the image reading unit is disposed to overlap with the carriage for recording in an up and down direction at a position deviating from a movement area of the carriage for recording.

Multi-function peripheral

An ink jet printer includes an openable/closable scanner unit which is provided in an upper portion of a recording unit configured to execute recording on a sheet. A shaft is formed on a main frame which constitutes a base of the recording unit. The scanner unit is enabled to tilt in relation to the recording unit when the bearing provided to the scanner unit engages the shaft. A restricting portion is provided at a location opposing the outer periphery of the bearing. The restricting portion restricts the deformation of the bearing in a direction of expansion of an opening of the bearing within the range of tilt of the scanner unit.

An image reading apparatus comprises: a guide portion that is linked to a driving portion and extends so as to guide the movement of a reading carriage; a guide rail that guides the reading carriage while supporting the reading carriage; and an interlocking portion that is provided in the reading carriage, has a first sliding surface that makes contact with the guide rail on the side of the guide rail facing the guide portion and a second sliding surface that makes contact with the guide rail on the side of the guide rail that is on the opposite side as the guide portion. The position at which the first sliding surface of the interlocking portion makes contact with the guide rail is lower on the guide rail than the position at which the second sliding surface of the interlocking portion makes contact with the guide rail.

Image reading apparatus

An image reading apparatus which reads an image on a target includes a first housing, a transparent member which is provided on the first housing and has a placement face on which the target is placed, a positioning member on which the transparent member is placed, a second housing which is assembled on the first housing and biases the positioning member, and an engagement member which is provided on the second housing and engages with the positioning member. In the image reading apparatus, when the second housing is assembled on the first housing, the engagement member biases the positioning member so as to fix the transparent member to an attachment position.
