A magnetic heat pump includes magnetocaloric members, an impeller, deformable members, a casing, an electric motor, and a magnetic field generator. The impeller has accommodation chambers. The deformable members face the accommodation chambers. The casing has an interior space accommodating the magnetocaloric members, the impeller, and the deformable members and allowing a heat transport medium to circulate, a first inlet, and a first outlet spaced apart from the first inlet in the circumferential direction. The magnetic field generator produces a magnetic field becoming stronger along the first direction, in a first region extending from the first inlet to the first outlet in the first direction in the interior space. The shapes of the deformable members individually change with the rotation. The volumes of the accommodation chambers individually increase and decrease with change in shape of the deformable members.

Magnetic heat pump and magnetic refrigeration cycle apparatus

A magnetic refrigeration device includes a magnetocaloric material, first piping, second piping, a magnetic field generating unit, and a switching unit. The first piping supplies a refrigerant to the magnetocaloric material in a first refrigerant direction. The second piping supplies the refrigerant to the magnetocaloric material in a second refrigerant direction. The magnetic field generating unit is capable of applying a magnetic field to the magnetocaloric material. The switching unit switches between a first state and a second state in response to the magnetic field. In the first state, the refrigerant is supplied from the first piping to the magnetocaloric material. In the second state, the refrigerant is supplied from the second piping to the magnetocaloric material.

Magnetic refrigeration device and refrigeration cycle device

A static magnetic field generator generates a non-magnetic field region. An AC magnetic field application instrument applies an AC magnetic field to the non-magnetic field region. A detection coil has an axis parallel to a direction of the AC magnetic field in order to detect a magnetization signal. A measuring instrument is connected to the detection coil. A resonance frequency variable device includes a capacitor connected in parallel to the detection coil in order to adjust a resonance frequency of the detection coil and the measuring instrument. A capacity of the capacitor is adjusted such that a resonance frequency of a closed circuit including the detection coil, the measuring instrument, and the resonance frequency variable device including the capacitor coincides with a frequency of a harmonic signal.

A semiconductor device includes a plurality of semiconductor chips, an insulating part, a first electrode, a second electrode, a first bus bar, and a second bus bar. The insulating part surrounds the semiconductor chips. The first electrode is in pressure contact with the semiconductor chips. The semiconductor chips are sandwiched between the first electrode and the second electrode in a first direction. The second electrode is in pressure contact with the semiconductor chips. The first bus bar is connected to the first electrode. The second bus bar is connected to the second electrode. The first bus bar and the second bus bar sandwich the insulating part in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

In a superconducting coil used in an MRI apparatus, it is necessary to arrange a superconducting wire at a desired position to obtain a desired coil shape in order to obtain a temporally stable static electromagnetic field with high strength and high uniformity. A superconducting coil includes a winding frame, a spacer disposed on an outer periphery of winding frame and including a winding groove having a spiral shape and a communication groove provided between winding grooves, and includes a coil group having a superconducting wire wound in winding groove. It is therefore possible to obtain superconducting coil having a desired coil shape.

A magnetic refrigeration device includes a magnetic heat container, a magnetic field generation device, a high temperature-side heat exchanger, a low temperature-side heat exchanger, and a pump. The magnetic heat container is filled with a magneto-caloric material. The pump is capable of transporting a heat transport medium in a reciprocable manner between the high temperature-side heat exchanger and the low temperature-side heat exchanger via the magnetic heat container. The magnetic heat container has a spiral shape extending in a spiral on an identical plane and allows the heat transport medium transported by the pump to flow along the spiral shape.

A negative electrode includes a negative electrode protecting layer that is disposed so as to cover a negative electrode active material layer formed on at least one surface of a negative electrode core in a thickness direction and that has higher electrical resistance than the negative electrode active material layer. The negative electrode active material layer includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is formed in a region extending from an edge at one end to a boundary 300 &#x3bc;m away from the edge in a width direction. The second surface is positioned closer than the first surface to the other end. Regarding the negative electrode protecting layer, the average value of the first thickness of a first portion covering the first surface is 1.7 or more times larger than the maximum value of the second thickness of a second portion covering the second surface.

A spring electrode for a press-pack power semiconductor module includes a first electrode in contact with a power semiconductor chip, a second electrode arranged to face the first electrode, and a pressure pad which connects the first electrode and the second electrode and has flexibility in a normal direction of opposing surfaces of the first electrode and the second electrode. The opposing surfaces of the first electrode and the second electrode can be polygons of a pentagon or more, the pressure pad can be a cylindrical conductor or a plurality of wire conductors, and sides of the opposing surface of the first electrode and sides of the opposing surface of the second electrode corresponding to these sides are connected in parallel by the pressure pad.

A static magnetic field adjustment device for an MRI includes a shim tray, a bottom spacer and a magnetic material shim. The shim tray is mounted on the MRI and provided with a shim pocket. The bottom spacer is made of a non-magnetic material and accommodated in the shim pocket to make contact with a bottom surface of the shim pocket. The magnetic material shim is made of a magnetic material and accommodated in the shim pocket with the bottom spacer interposed between the magnetic material shim and the bottom surface of the shim pocket.

In the wound negative electrode core-exposed portion, the surface roughness of the negative electrode core-exposed portion on the outer surface side is lower than the surface roughness on the inner surface side. A negative electrode current collector is placed on the outer surface of the wound negative electrode core-exposed portion and the negative electrode current collector is resistance-welded to the wound negative electrode core-exposed portion.
