A surface treatment agent, which can impart the excellent water- and oil-repellency, soil resistance and feeling to the substrate, is obtained from a fluorine-containing polymer which contains: (A) a monomer which comprises; (A1) a fluorine-containing monomer of the formula: CH&#x2550;C(&#x2014;X)&#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;Y&#x2014;Z&#x2014;Rf wherein X is a hydrogen atom, a monovalent organic group, or a halogen atom, Y is &#x2014;O&#x2014; or &#x2014;NH&#x2014;, Z is a direct bond or a divalent organic group, and Rf is a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and (A2) a (meth)acrylate monomer having a cyclic hydrocarbon group, and (B) at least one functional organopolysiloxane selected from the group consisting of a mercapto-functional organopolysiloxane, a vinyl-functional organopolysiloxane, a (meth)acrylamide-functional organopolysiloxane and a (meth)acrylate-functional group.

Coating composition

A surface treatment composition comprises a polyfluoropolyether silane. The polyfluoropolyether silane and the surface treatment composition are produced by reacting a perfluoropolyether-containing compound and a hydrosilane in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst and an isomer reducing agent.

A fluorosilicone reaction product of a vinyl functional organopolysiloxane and a fluorine-containing monomer, and methods of preparing the fluorosilicone are disclosed. The fluorosilicone products are suitable for application to substrates such as textiles, particularly fabrics, to impart oil repellent properties to the textile. The fluorosilicone reaction product is prepared from (A) a fluorine-containing monomer of the formula CH&#x2550;C(X)COOYRf, and (B) a vinyl functional organopolysiloxane.

Fluorosilicones and fluorine- and silicon-containing surface treatment agent

The present invention provides a water- and oil-repellent soil-resistant composition comprising (A) a fluorine-containing polymer having repeating units derived from a monomer comprising a fluorine-containing monomer and (B) a silane compound. The water- and oil-repellent soil-resistant composition comprising the fluorine-containing acrylate polymer can impart the excellent water- and oil-repellency and soil resistance to the porous substrate and is free from an organic solvent.

Disclosed in a mold release composition comprising a fluorosilicone compound of the formula (I): (I) wherein R1, R2, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 and R9 each is, the same or different, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, R3 and R10 each is; the same or different, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or Rf&#x2014;X&#x2014;, or Z&#x2014;Y&#x2014; in which X and Y each is; the same or different, a divalent organic group, Rf is a C1-6 fluoroalkyl group, Z is a silyl group containing a hydrolyzable site, m is 1-100, n is 1-50, and o is 0-200. The mold release composition can give excellent mold releasability and durability of mold releasability (repeated mold releasability). 

Fluorosilicone mold release composition

A fluorosilicone reaction product of a mercapto functional organopolysiloxane and a fluorine-containing monomer, and methods of preparing the fluorosilicone are disclosed. The fluorosilicone products are suitable for application to substrates such as textiles, particularly fabrics, to impart oil repellent properties to the textile. The fluorosilicone reaction product is prepared from (A) a fluorine-containing monomer of the formula CH&#x2550;C(X)COOYRf, and (B) a mercapto functional organopolysiloxane.

There is provided a coating composition which comprises (A) a synthetic resin having functional group, (B) a stain-proofing component which is a liquid polydialkylsiloxane having functional group or a liquid fluoropolyether having functional group and (C) a curing agent, and the composition is excellent in a stain-proofing property, particularly removability of oily stain, thereby enabling scribbling to be easily wiped off, and is suitable for outdoor coating being excellent in weather resistance and adhesion.

Surface modifier

A greaseproof paper is provided for use in food processing and/or packaging of foods in which paper has been rendered oleophobic by treatment with a fluorine-containing polymer. The fluorine-containing polymer may be prepared by polymerizing a fluorine-containing monomer in the presence of a mercapto group-containing organopolysiloxane. The fluorine-containing polymer may be applied to paper by coating onto pre-formed paper, or by applying the polymer as a size during a papermaking process.
