In a process of producing a stretch sheet, a strip-shaped laminate sheetA having an elastically stretchable elastic layerand substantially inelastic, inelastic fiber layersandpartially joined to each other at bondsor a strip-shaped fibrous sheet containing an elastic component and a substantially inelastic component and having embossed regions formed by embossing in parts is stretched in directions starting from the bondsor the embossed regions to obtain a stretch sheet. The stretch sheet has raised ridges and recessed grooves extending in the direction perpendicular to the stretch direction, and the bondsor the embossed regions are present in the ridges.

Stretch sheet and process of producing the same

A stretch nonwoven fabriccontains inelastic fibers having a varied thickness along the length and elastic fibers. The nonwoven fabricpreferably includes an elastic fiber layerand a substantially inelastic, inelastic fiber layeron at least one side of the elastic fiber layer. The fibers with a varied thickness along the length are contained in the inelastic fiber layer. The nonwoven fabricis conveniently produced by (a) superposing a web containing low-drawn, inelastic fibers having an elongation of 80% to 800% on at least one side of a web containing elastic fibers, (b) subjecting the webs, while in a non-united state, to through-air technique to obtain a fibrous sheet having the webs united together by thermal bonding the fibers at their intersections, and (c) stretching the fibrous sheet in at least one direction to draw the low-drawn inelastic fibers, followed by releasing the sheet from the stretch.

Stretch nonwoven fabric

A disposable diaper is provided comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member interposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent member comprises, in admixture, a superabsorbent polymer A having a rate of absorption of 8 g/30 sec/0.3 g or more measured by DW method and a superabsorbent polymer B having a rate of absorption of 5 g/30 sec/0.3 g or less measured by DW method at a polymer A/polymer B weight ratio of 90/10 to 10/90. The admixture optionally further comprises fluff pulp in an amount of from 0 to 30% by weight.

Disposable diaper and absorbent member used therein

A disposable diaper is provided comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member interposed between the two sheets, wherein the disposable diaper has a product basis weight of 50 to 220 g/cm , and a portion of the disposable diaper where the absorbent member is positioned has a portion having a rate of body fluid absorption of 3.0 g/sec or more and a portion having a saturated body fluid absorption of 75 g/100 cm or more.

A compression recovery sheet which comprises a fiber aggregate containing 10 to 90% by weight of an elastomeric component and has a basis weight of 15 to 100 g/m , a no-load thickness of 1 to 10 mm, and a compressive recovery of 60% or more and an absorbent article containing the same are disclosed.

An absorbent article includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable and moisture-permeable leakproof sheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member interposed between the topsheet and the leakproof sheet. A foamed material is disposed in the absorbent member. The foamed material has a density of 5 to 35 kg/m , a no-load thickness of 1 to 10 mm, and a compressive recovery of 60% or more in terms of (b/a&times;100), wherein a is a thickness (mm) measured after 24-hour standing with no load applied, and b is a thickness (mm) measured after 24-hour compression under a load of 180 gf/cm followed by 30-minute standing with no load applied. The foamed material is fixed at the prescribed position with an adhesive, which has been applied to have applied parts and unapplied parts.

Absorbent article

An absorbent article includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent member interposed between the topsheet and the back sheet. While worn, the absorbent article forms a front waist body portion located at the front waist of a wearer and a rear waist body portion located at the rear waist of a wearer. The rear waist body portion has at each side thereof a fastening member for fastening the absorbent article, wherein the back sheet is made up of laminated sheeting composed of a finely porous resin film and nonwoven fabric. The fastening member is formed of a male sheet member of a mechanical fastener and designed to be brought into direct contact with the surface of the nonwoven fabric constituting the back sheet. The above-mentioned absorbent article has a good fit on a wearer, exhibits excellent leakproofness and breathability while worn, and has an excellent texture.

A process for making a film including forming a composite material of a thermoplastic film into an annular original film having at least two thick portions according to the inflation process, making the annular original film into a flat shape such that the thick portions are located at substantially opposite ends thereof, and stretching the flat annular original film by clamping the thick portions.
