An engine start control device is provided with: a starter relay that is provided between a battery and a starter motor; a start abnormality determining means that determines the occurrence of start abnormality of an engine; and a start control means, which turns on the starter relay, and starts supplying power from the battery to the starter motor in the cases where a start instruction signal is inputted from a start switch, and which turns off the starter relay in the cases where the start abnormality determining means determined the occurrence of start abnormality of the engine.

Engine start control device

A reduction in the size of a housing for containing a magnetic sensor is provided for a throttle device for a vehicle in which the turning amount of a throttle grip is detected by use of the magnetic sensor. An extension part of the throttle grip is provided at its outer periphery with an enlarged diameter part for holding magnets of the magnetic sensor. A right switch box is provided with Hall sensors of the magnetic sensor, and the enlarged diameter part and each of the Hall sensors are opposed to each other in the axial direction of a right handle bar. The throttle grip is urged toward the throttle full-closing position by a grip urging mechanism. The throttle full-closing position is maintained by only an urging force exerted from the grip urging mechanism.

Throttle device for vehicle

A terminal connector for a regulator and a method for connecting an external terminal to the terminal connector are provided, whereby the regulator is configured to control an output of a generator provided to a motorcycle. The terminal connector is configured to connect the regulator and external terminals using bolts and nuts, and includes a plurality of terminal units. Each terminal unit is individually connected to an external terminal, and is configured in a width direction of the terminal connector. Each terminal unit is configured as a support base for screw-tightening, to which one of the external terminals is connected by screwing, and includes an identification mark. At least two of the terminal units have different widths.

Terminal connector for a regulator

A throttle control apparatus includes a throttle control sleeve rotatably mounted on a handlebar of a vehicle, a throttle control housing fixed to the handlebar, and a throttle sensor unit housed in the throttle control housing. The throttle sensor unit is operable to detect a rotational angle of the throttle control sleeve. The throttle control housing is rotatably engaged with an outer periphery of the throttle control sleeve. The throttle sensor unit includes a rotary member having a spline hole formed therein, a fixed contact and a movable contact for detecting rotation of the rotary member. The throttle control sleeve and the throttle sensor unit are engaged with each other by spline fitting. A throttle return mechanism and the sensor unit are arranged in an overlapping manner in an axial direction. Handle switches are arranged on a vehicle body center side of the throttle control housing.

Throttle control apparatus for a vehicle and vehicle incorporating same

By a press-formed starting member () being immersed in a process liquid () at 40 to 60&#xb0; C. and of pH 9 to 12, a passive film () is formed at the surface of the press-formed starting member. There is no solving out of metal ions from the press-formed starting member, and the passivation treatment can be carried out by just immersion in a single solution, so that costs including waste processing can be reduced. In another aspect, degreasing, cleaning and passivation treatment are carried out by spraying the press-formed starting member. By the use of spraying, the degreasing, cleaning and passivation treatment can be made rapid, and the amounts of process liquid needed for degreasing, cleaning and passivation treatment can be reduced.

The lighting system having a plurality of winker lamps disposed on front and rear portions of a vehicle body, a winker switch, and a lighting control circuit which performs changeover function allowing the winker lamps at a front portion of the vehicle body to lit as position lamps. The lighting control circuit is connected to a battery through an ignition switch. The lighting system further includes a power supply circuit which supplies, in an ignition off state, power to the lighting control circuit in response to an output signal from an antitheft apparatus to cause the winker lamps to light up or flicker. The output terminal of the antitheft device is connected to an electrical connection formed between the winker switch and the left and right rear lamps.

A winker assembly for a vehicle has a hazard maintaining function that can maintain a hazard state even if a key is removed when moving away from the vehicle, with a comparatively simple and inexpensive structure. If a hazard switch is turned on with the ignition switch in an on state, the LOAD terminal of the winker relay is connected to the winkers, and all the winkers are flashed to give a hazard state. The winker relay is provided with a current detection circuit for detecting current flowing in the winkers, and a maintaining circuit for maintaining a winker flashing signal based on detected current, and when it has been determined that detected current is equivalent to four winker lamps being lit current for flashing the winkers is maintained even after the ignition switch is turned off.

A fuel cell separator manufacturing method including the steps of removing an abnormal layer () arising at the surface layer of a metal material for use as a separator () when it is rolled, exposing portions of conductors () included in a surface layer part of the metal material itself to project, and carrying out a passivation treatment on the surface layer part of the metal material itself. The steps of removing the abnormal layer and exposing portions of the conductors are possible in the same process, chemically or electro-chemically. Therefore, the number of steps can be cut and increased productivity and reduced cost of separators can be achieved.

Fuel cell separator manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus

A mileage display system includes a control unit operatively connected to an ignition switch of a motorcycle that obtains the accumulated mileage by accumulating a pulse signal produced according to running of the motorcycle. The control unit records odometer data in an EEPROM. The control unit also reads the odometer data recorded in the EEPROM when the ignition switch is operated. If the odometer data exceeds the maximum value to be displayed on an odometer (for example, 99999), the control unit displays on the odometer for a predetermined period of time a numeric value of digits of higher order than the predetermined number of display digits of the odometer data. The mileage display system displays an accurate, accumulated distance traveled or accumulated mileage, after the mileage overflows by exceeding a maximum display value as established by a predetermined number of display digits.

To provide a head light system comprising first and second bulbs, wherein a coupler can be attached and detached smoothly and the appearance can be made favorable. A first movable-side coupler and a second movable-side coupler are attached to and detached from a first fixed-side coupler for a first bulb and a second fixed-side coupler for a second bulb, respectively. The first fixed-side coupler and the second fixed-side coupler are disposed substantially in the same plane. The attaching and detaching directions of the first and second movable-side couplers are substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal directions of the first bulb and the second bulb. The first fixed-side coupler is so disposed that the second fixed-side coupler is not located in the attaching and detaching direction of the first movable-side coupler attached to and detached from the first fixed-side coupler.

The shape of a reflector is to be made conspicuous to improve the appearance of a headlamp assembly. A headlamp assembly includes electric bulbs, a reflector, a lens and a case. Between the reflector and the case are formed gaps which result from a difference in shape between the reflector and the case. Blindfold portions are formed integrally with the reflector for filling the gaps. The blindfold members are provided with reflecting surfaces which project a black portion of the ground or of an inner surface of the case. With the reflecting surfaces of the blindfold members, a contrast is created between the blindfold member and reflecting surfaces of the reflector to make the reflecting surface shape of the reflector conspicuous.

A granulated powder for a high-density sintered body is provided, which has an excellent flow rate and an excellent sintered density, and a sintered body produced using the same is provided. The granulated powder is obtained by granulation using a binder and a powder material comprising small diameter particles comprised of stainless steel and having an average particle diameter of 1 to 20 &mgr;m and large diameter particles comprised of stainless steel and having an average particle diameter of 30 to 150 &mgr;m.
