Provided is an elastomer that improves the skin feel of an inorganic powder. The elastomer according to the present invention is an elastomer comprising: (A) an amino group-containing silicone polymer; and (B) a carboxyl group-containing silicone polymer or a carboxyl group-containing acrylamide polymer, wherein a molar ratio Y/X between amino groups and carboxyl groups is within a range of 0.1 to 1.2, wherein Y denotes the molar amount of carboxyl groups contained in the component (B), and X denotes the molar amount of amino groups contained in the component (A).

Elastomer

The invention is a sunscreen cosmetic containing (a) a specific hydrophobic zinc oxide powder, (b) decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, and (c) an alkyl trimethicone having 6 to 12 carbons. Hydrophobic powder that has the noticeable effects of low oil absorption and a low apparent specific volume is stably blended into a sunscreen cosmetic as a UV radiation dispersing agent to produce a sunscreen cosmetic that has remarkably improved ease of washability after use.

Sun-block cosmetic

The present invention provides a modified powder that is obtainable by coating the surface of a base powder with a hydrophobizing agent and a cationic surfactant. In the modified powder described above, it is preferable that the amount of coated hydrophobizing agent and the amount of coated cationic surfactant are 3 to 90% by mass and 0.5 to 10% by mass, respectively, relative to the self weight of the base powder. In the modified powder described above, it is preferable that the mass ratio of the coated hydrophobizing agent and the coated cationic surfactant is from 1:1 to 9:1. In addition, the present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising the above modified powder wherein the modified powder and the base powder have an ultraviolet scattering effect. In the cosmetic composition described above, it is preferable that the blended amount of the modified powder is from 0.5 to 100% by mass. Furthermore, the present invention provides a sunscreen cosmetic composition comprising the above modified powder with an ultraviolet scattering effect. In the sunscreen cosmetic composition described above, it is preferable that the base powder is one or more selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide, zinc oxide, iron oxide, cerium oxide, bismuth oxide, zirconium oxide, chromium oxide, and tungstic acid. In the sunscreen cosmetic composition described above, it is preferable that the blended amount of the modified powder is from 1 to 40% by mass.

Modified powder and cosmetic composition using the same

The present invention provides a self tanning cosmetic containing 0.2-20.0 mass % of dihydroxyacetone and 0.1-10.0 mass % of an inorganic pigment powder whose surface is treated with silica coating followed by a hydrophobing treatment. The present invention provides a cosmetic that has superior storage stability, is free of discoloration and odor generation, and achieves both the decorative effect of the pigment immediately following application and the long term dyeing effect of dihydroxyacetone.

Self-tanning cosmetic

An object of the present invention is to provide a composite powder, cosmetics containing the same, and the production method of the same. When blended into cosmetics, the above-described composite powder corrects skin surface unevenness and imperfections in skin color, renders a natural finish, and have durability in finished makeup. In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the composite powder of the present invention comprises flaky substrate powder and barium sulfate particles or zinc oxide particles that adhere to the surface, in protrusions, of the substrate powder.
