Method of assay of target nucleic acid

A driving force transmission device includes a rim having a toothed outer periphery, with bottom lands being formed between respectively adjacent teeth and top lands being formed at teeth crests. Outer ribs are disposed at positions on an inner peripheral surface of the rim corresponding to the bottom lands, whereby there is neither variance in angle speed nor uneven rotation of a member driven by the transmission device. Moreover, the outer ribs are radially offset from inner ribs, whereby tensile forces generated between the outer and inner ribs and caused by material shrinkage cancel each other out and defective molding of teeth crests can be minimized. Accordingly, the radius of an imaginary circle formed by joining the top lands is uniform in a circumferential direction.

Method of amplifying or detecting HIV-1 RNA

A photographic paper magazine, for containing a photographic paper roll of photographic paper, includes a magazine case. A support shaft is contained in the magazine case in a rotatable manner, and secured to an axis of the paper roll in a rotationally immovable manner. First and second flanges are disposed on the support shaft, for neatening end faces of the paper roll. A passageway is formed in the magazine case, for passage of the photographic paper in and out. Sixteen receiving pins are formed to project from an edge portion of the first flange toward the second flange, for defining a passage space between. The passage space allows passage of the photographic paper extending from the paper roll toward the passageway. When the support shaft is rotated in a winding direction, the sixteen receiving pins temporarily wind a portion of the photographic paper extending out of the passage space.

A photo film processor has a bath component, which contains processing liquid and processes photo film by use of the processing liquid. A processor body contains the bath component. A replenisher supply device has two cartridge holders loadable with two replenisher cartridges, which contain replenisher liquid for adjustment of the processing liquid. Two tanks store the replenisher liquid having flowed out of the replenisher cartridges. A maintenance opening is formed in the processor body. A panel is secured to the maintenance opening movably between closed and open positions. On the panel, the cartridge holders and the tanks are mounted. The panel, when in the closed position, closes the maintenance opening, and when in the open position, is positioned outside the maintenance opening, for allowing inspection and/or maintenance of the bath component.
