According to aspects of the present disclosures, a printing device has a print head, a battery, a USB PD controller. The printing device is connected to an external power source in accordance with a connection compliant with a USB standard. The external power source has a plurality of electrical power profiles. The printing device uses one of the external power source and the battery as an electrical power supplying source of the print head. The printing device a power source voltage value with a rated voltage value of the print head, when the power source voltage value is larger than the rated voltage value, determine the battery as the electrical power supplying source, and, when the power source voltage value is equal to or less than the rated voltage value, determining the external power source as the electrical power supplying source.

Printing device operable with power from battery and external power source

An information input device has a determination portion, a detection portion, and a switching portion. The detection portion includes two areas that plural coils are arranged along a plane. The two areas switch between a folded state facing the areas each other and a two-page spread state not facing the areas each other. When an induced current is not detected in the coils of the two areas in the continuous reception state in which the induced current of the coils can be detected, the determination portion determines that the detection portion is in the two-page spread state. When the induced current is detected in the coils of the two areas in the continuous reception state, the determination portion determines that the detection portion is in the folded state, and the switching portion switches the state of the detection portion from a normal state to a power saving state.

Information input device

The disclosure discloses a printer comprising a feeder, a printing head, a movable blade, a blade receiving member, a constant voltage circuit, a route switching device, and a switching control portion. The constant voltage circuit outputs a constant voltage to a secondary side based on a primary-side voltage supplied from a battery. The route switching device switches a current supply route from the battery to a motor to either one of a first route by which the constant voltage on the secondary side from the constant voltage circuit is supplied from the battery, and a second route by which the primary-side voltage is supplied without passing through the constant voltage circuit. The switching control portion controls the route switching device so that, triggered by non-detection of execution of the partial cutting, the current supply route is switched from the first route to the second route.
