A mold is provided, at an outer circumferential region thereof, with portions to be gripped, to allow a transfer apparatus to perform transferring to an object. The portions to be gripped are formed in a different shape from the remaining portion of the outer circumferential region. For a mold set including two molds, each of the molds is provided, at an outer circumferential region thereof, with portions to be gripped, to allow the transfer apparatus to perform transferring to the object. The portions to be gripped are formed in a different shape from the remaining portion of the outer circumferential region. The portions to be gripped of one of the molds and the portions to be gripped of the other mold are disposed at different angular positions.

Mold and method for manufacturing the same

After a transfer material was hardened in a situation an imprint mold which has a concave part pattern is forced against the liquid transfer material, a replica which has a convex part pattern corresponding to the concave part pattern by releasing the imprint mold. A pressurization mechanism and a vacuum pump are set, regarding depth K of the concave part pattern of the imprint mold, height k of the convex part pattern of the transfer material, effective pressure Mo while the imprint mold is forced, pressure P in the space, with satisfying: Mo/P&#x2267;k/(K&#x2212;k). With this arrangement, even if air comes inside of the concave part pattern of the imprint mold and is stuffed in the inside, it is possible to have transcription with no problem.

Imprinting device and imprinting method

By making a cathode substrate function as a cathode and applying a voltage to the cathode and an anode, an electron emission element emits an electron from an electron source provided on the cathode substrate, and irradiates the electron onto an electron irradiation surface formed on the anode surface. The electron source is thread-type and provided on the cathode substrate. A deflecting voltage generates the electric field around the electron source. The electron source including a charge receives a power from the generated electric field to curve. Therefore, an irradiation position of the electron moves on the electron irradiation surface. Since it becomes unnecessary to move the electron irradiation surface and the electron source, a configuration of the electron emission element or an apparatus including the electron emission element is not complicated, and can be miniaturized and simple. Further, since the electron source curves, a tip of the electron source and the electron irradiation surface can be close, and a size of a beam spot at the irradiation position can be maintained constant. Therefore, since a mechanism for correcting the size of the beam spot is unnecessary, the configuration of the electron emission element or the apparatus including the electron emission element can be much simpler.

Thread-type electron emission element

A conduction member having conduction path for injecting molten molding material within a mold space is fitted to one of a pair of mold bodies which form the disc-shaped mold space. A first heat suppressing member for suppressing heat within the conduction path from being transmitted to the one of the mold bodies is disposed between the conduction member and the one of the mold bodies. Further, a second heat suppressing member is disposed at a position opposite to the first heat suppressing member at the time of mold-clamping the pair of the mold bodies.

Mold for injection molding of disc substrate

There are provided a disc-manufacturing mold capable of manufacturing a disc substrate having no irregularities in thickness in its circumferential direction and a disc manufacturing apparatus using the mold. The disc-manufacturing mold is used for forming a disc substrate by injection molding. A cooling water ditch is arranged on the mold. The cooling water ditch is configured such that a disc distorts substantially evenly in its circumferential direction when the disc is manufactured.
