In an exemplary embodiment, a seal device () that seals between a housing () and a rotation shaft () passing through the housing () includes: a floating ring () arranged with a gap h with respect to the rotation shaft (), a seal portion () formed by bringing one end face of the floating ring () into contact with the housing (), and a space portion j provided between the floating ring () and the housing (), and the floating ring () includes bias means that contactlessly biases the floating ring () to the seal portion via the space portion j. The seal device in which the floating ring follows movement of the rotation shaft is capable of exerting a sealing operation so that vibration of the rotation shaft can be reduced.

Seal device

In an exemplary embodiment, a sliding component includes a pair of sliding parts sliding relatively to each other. One sliding part is a stationary-side seal ring, and the other sliding part is a rotating-side seal ring, wherein the seal rings have sliding faces S formed radially for sealing a liquid or a misty fluid as a sealed fluid against leakage. At least one of the sliding faces S is provided with: spiral grooveswhich have upstream endsconnected to a leakage side, and downstream endsnot connected to a circumferential edge on a sealed-fluid side, and are disposed at an angle from upstream to downstream; and discharge groovesdisposed at an angle such that their upstream endsare located on the leakage side and their downstream endsare located on the sealed-fluid side.

Sliding component

A sealing device includes a floating ring in a space between the outer circumference of a rotating shaft and the inner circumference of a housing, and a multi-layered cylindrical body including a plurality of elastically deformable cylindrical thin plates layered on top of each other provided between an outer peripheral surface of the floating ring and an inner peripheral surface of the housing, so as to impart a radial restoring force against the eccentricity of the rotating shaft to restore it to its center position, and a tangential damping force to reduce the whirling of the rotating shaft.

In an exemplary embodiment, a seal devicethat seals between a housingand a rotation shaftpassing through the housingincludes a floating ringarranged with a gap h with respect to the rotation shaft, wherein the floating ringincludes at least one supporting meansthat supports in the circumferential direction. In the seal device, the floating ring follows movement of the rotation shaft even upon running for a long time, a clearance between the rotation shaft and the seal ring can be properly held, and the sealing operation by the floating ring and the vibration damping function can be exerted, and the seal device is easily assembled.

In an exemplary embodiment, a sliding component includes a pair of sliding partsandsliding relatively to each other and having sliding faces S formed radially for sealing a liquid or a misty fluid as a sealed fluid against leakage. One sliding part is a stationary-side seal ring, and the other sliding part is a rotating-side seal ring. At least one of the sliding faces S is provided with positive pressure generation mechanismshaving positive pressure generation groovesconfigured to communicate with a circumferential edge of the sliding face S on the sealed-fluid side and not to communicate with a circumferential edge on the leakage side, and discharge groovesdisposed at an angle such that upstream ends are located on the leakage side and downstream ends are located on the sealed-fluid side.

In a pair of sliding parts having sliding faces S that slide with respect to each other, at least one of the sliding faces S has a one-side peripheral edge () and an other-side peripheral edge () and includes: fluid introduction grooves () each of which has one end communicating with the other-side peripheral edge (), dynamic pressure generation grooves () each of which has one end communicating with the other-side peripheral edge () and the other end being surrounded by a land portion, and a release groove () provided in the land portion, the release groove () communicating with the fluid introduction grooves (). With the sliding parts, not only a liquid such as oil but also an oil mist serving as a mixture of oil and air can be sealed as a sealed fluid, and generation of oil mist itself can be reduced.

Sliding part

A mechanical seal, which seals a sealed fluid by interposing an intermediate ring between a rotating ring and a stationary ring, includes a first annular effective seal portion where the rotating ring and the intermediate ring slide with each other and a second annular effective seal portion where the stationary ring and the intermediate ring contact with each other. A load receiving portion is arranged between the intermediate ring and the stationary ring in opposition to a side of the sealed fluid across the sealed fluid of the second annular effective seal portion in a radial direction.

Mechanical seal

In an embodiments, in a sealing face of at least one slide part of a pair of slide parts, a dynamic pressure generation grooveis provided so as to be separated not to communicate with a sealed fluid side and a leakage side by land portions on both sealing faces, between an endon the leakage side of the dynamic pressure generation grooveand the leakage side, a fluid introduction groovewhich communicates the dynamic pressure generation grooveand the leakage side is provided, and the cross-sectional area of the fluid introduction grooveis set smaller than the cross-sectional area of the dynamic pressure generation groove. The sealing faces are subjected to fluid lubrication and low friction in a steady operation, and leakage of the sealed fluid and entrance of dust into the sealing faces are suppressed.

Slide component

In an embodiment, in a slide component, dynamic pressure generation groovesare provided on a sealing face of at least one of a pair of slide partsso as to be isolated with no communication from the sealed fluid side and the leakage side by land portions R of both the sealing faces, and a plurality of independently-formed minute recessed sectionsis provided at positions on the sealing face IS between the dynamic pressure generation groovesand the leakage side, the positions being separated in the radial direction from the dynamic pressure generation grooves. The slide component can make the sealing faces fluid-lubricant and low frictional and prevent leakage of a sealed fluid and incoming of dust to the sealing faces at the time of normal operation.

In an embodiment, a sliding face of at least one sliding part of the pair of sliding parts is provided, along its entire circumference, with a trap groovefor trapping leakage fluid, located on a leakage side and spaced from the leakage side by a land. A dust entry reduction meansfor reducing entry of dust from the leakage side while allowing passage of fluid is formed between lands of the pair of sliding parts on the leakage side of the trap groove. At the sliding faces of the pair of sliding parts sliding relatively, entry of dust from the leakage side as well as liquid leakage to the leakage side are suppressed.

In an embodiment, a sliding component includes a pair of sliding parts (a stationary-side seal ringand a rotating-side seal ring) that relatively slide on each other and each have a sliding face S formed radially for sealing sealed fluid from leaking. The sliding face S of at least one sliding part is provided with dynamic pressure generation groovesspaced in a non-communicating manner from the sealed-fluid side and the leakage side by lands R of both sliding faces, and is provided with fluid introduction holesbetween leakage-side endsof the groovesand the leakage side, for communicating the groovesand the leakage side. Each fluid introduction holesis configured such that a dynamic-pressure-generation-groove-side openingopen to a corresponding one of the groovesis axially displaced from a leakage-side openingopen to the leakage side.

Provided is a sealing device that increases the lubricity of seal surfaces, prevents leakage of sealed fluids, and prevents excessive heat generation and excessive friction at seal surfaces. Said sealing device, which is of the type that seals a fluid trying to leak from the outer periphery of a sealing surface towards the inner periphery thereof, forms at least two dimples in a circumferential direction in each of a plurality of rows arranged in a radial direction on a sealing surface of a stationary-side sealing element or a rotating-side sealing element. Each dimple is tilted by a dimple angle &#x3b8; between 0&#xb0; and 90&#xb0;, exclusive, such that the tip of that dimple in the direction of rotation is tilted toward the inner periphery side. In each of the plurality of rows of dimples, land areas are formed in the circumferential direction between the proximate tips of adjacent dimples. For each of the plurality of rows of dimples, if a circle is drawn through the centers of the dimples in that row, let Lbe the distance along the circle from the point the circle enters a dimple to the point the circle leaves that dimple, and let Lbe the length, along the circle, of the land areas between dimples. The dimples are characterized by being arranged such that the gap ratio L/Lis between 0.001 and 0.1, inclusive.

Sealing device

A mechanical seal () is configured such that an annular sealed space (S) is formed by a first bellows (), a second bellows (), and members respectively provided on both end sides of the first bellows () and the second bellows (), and that the first bellows () and the second bellows () expand and contract in a central axial direction of a rotating shaft () in accordance with fluid pressure inside the sealed space (S). The first bellows () and the second bellows () are arranged at positions distant to each other in the central axial direction, and are arranged such that a part of the first bellows () on a radially inward side and a part of the second bellows () on a radially outward side overlap when viewed in the central axial direction.

A seal part having a base material, a porous coating layer formed by flame spraying a hard material on a seal surface of the base material, and a lubricating film containing one or more types of materials selected from silver, gold, and tin and a gold-cobalt alloy on the porous coating layer. The seal part of the present invention has superior durability and sealability and further a long life and high reliability even when used in a high temperature (for example 400&#xb0; C. or more, in particular 400 to 600&#xb0; C.) and high pressure (for example 2 MPa or more) environment.

Seal part

A seal device includes a first seal portion, a second seal portion, and a joint base, wherein the first seal portion has a first elastic portion with a flat side surface at one side of a first bight portion and a second elastic portion at the other side of the first bight portion. The second seal portion has a first symmetrical elastic portion with a flat side surface at one side of a second bight portion and a second symmetrical elastic portion at the other side of the second bight portion. A first seal face is disposed on a first outmost circumferential surface of the first elastic portion, and a second seal face is disposed on a second outmost circumferential surface of the first symmetrical elastic portion.
